The elusive 20inch AR15 BBL

Where the heck are these things hiding? Aside from having one custom made, are there any places to buy ready made ones?

Nowhere to be found. :(

Wolverine for the Armalite or Arms East for the Stag. Those are the only two choices that I know of.

I tried to convince Simon (BadBoyBeeson) to make some 20" Gov't profile barrels, but he didn't seem too interested. He said he'd need to make at least 50 to make it worthwhile, and he didn't see the market (crazy, IMHO, since LOTS of guys are looking for them!).

I looked for MONTHS to find one, and ended up having to settle for a used 1/12" skinny barrel.

I think a 1/7" 20" gov't profile barrel would sell like hotcakes! With A2 front sight or without... they are almost 'unobtanium' up here, and I have no idea why!

yeah i was in on that thread too......WTF, you would think there would be hundreds of them around, as everyone wants a shorty now, and should be some change outs.

I dont want a stainless BBL, thanks anyways. 1/7 govt would be nice though.

nothing on their site...

Not seeing anything on wolverine, or AE either....I will email and see.

1:9 but it'll get the job done. I would be disappointed if you shopped at Questar but your money. Again you could contact ATRS and have them import a DPMS barrel for you.

Thanks. I agree with avoiding Qstar. recent threads have left a sour taste in my mouth. I also dont like the wait time, price! Jeebus 420$

can have a new one made for that price.

As for ATRS, they dont seem to want to respond to any inquiries i have made in the last couple weeks for other parts. :(

Same here- I'm looking for an AR barrel over 16" (18"+ ideal) in .223Wylde, for an A4 receiver.

Also- I've contacted a ATRS a few times- always got a prompt reply...

If the so-desired 20 incher is intended for "long"-range,
then I have bad news for you: it is a waste of barrel.
Go at least 22", or even 24" if you want to feel some real advantage.

But if the 20" is for looking cool and/or getting more chicks,
then disregard this post.
