$500 seems like a lot to pay for a $100 rifle with a scope on it.
Altered yes, but by folks that know what and how to do it well, they still are a wonderfull alternative to the real sniper and they are available so why not profite of the occasion?I think I'd rather spend $500 on an original condition milsurp.
I do have to say, I find it a bit curious that these don't draw more fire from the anti-bubba crowd. The rifle stocks and receivers were original milsurp, but have been permanently altered in a manner that wasn't historical to these infantry rifles.
True, but none the less, some evening when I'm not thinking too straight, i will pull the pin and order one too.
Kalinka Optiks has much nicer scope arrangements for the mosin than the 3xPU.

Aa friend just purchased a sniper from westrifle and it is VERY nice and shoots well. If i was a fan of the mosin rifles i would not hesitate to buy one
Great, except its NOT a sniper rifle. They are regular milsurp infantry rifles with a scope.
I wouldnt buy one for 500$, but they are what they are. They are made to be like the original. If they went for 350-400 i would buy one.
