Ultimate Dream AR

My Armalites are plenty good......too bad they aren't NR.

I'd love them to be full auto with suppressors.

Being Canada I'm almost suprise our guns don't shoot out flowers and poetry. Stupid Liberals.

I honestly don't get this obsession with full auto... it's a novelty at best, since I think there are very few that could afford to feed it on a regular basis. And with a 5 to 10-round magazine cap, what would be the point? Suppressors, sure. An end to magazine limits, definitely. But full auto - what's the point?!

As indicated above, give me an integrated ATT, nix the shooting restrictions and allow full capacity magazines - and everyone and their dog will be out shooting gophers with their AR15 SBR's and Glocks. That would do way more for our hobby than full auto (or suppressors, for that matter) will ever do.

I've fired full auto, it's fun.
Suppressors tighten up groups and protect hearing, form and function.

Yeah, from a sh*ts and giggles standpoint - I'm sure it is. Suppressors I'm not going to necessarily argue against, although again the high acquisition/upgrade cost associated is going to be a big deterrent for most (new barrels, adjustable gas settings, etc.)

Now this is the kinda game I like to play.
As mentioned by Blaxsun, ATT integration, full cap mags and good by to the restrictions as a first and foremost. Considering my current AR is one of the recent import Norc's and I don't really know too much about the fancier stuff. I would have to go with a DD or a Noveske or perhaps an HK. With a 14.5in barrel, free floated. I really like the look of the compact stock mentioned in post #5 or a MP UBR, Miad grip, and either the Elcan Specter DR (something about that thing makes me go from 6 to midnight), or a Night force of some description. Lots of Pmags. BCM mod 3, Throw in a BAD lever and it sounds ideal to me.
That is the beauty of the AR, its like lego, if you can think it up and have the funds, its possible.

Until then for me its a Norc CQA with a miad, random no name rail Eotech, and a sh!t load of the Russian MSF ammo.

With the exception of the short barrel (I prefer the 16" barrel length looks and balance) and dropping in a Timney trigger, that rifle right there is my dream AR platform.

Oh yeah, don't forget the 100 round drum mags too!!!!

I guess the particulars that matter are, without getting too exact with names and makes:

A Magpul type stock with easily removeable cheek riser,
a Motiuk custom engraved lower,
Geissele 2 stage trigger
18-20" chrome lined target barrel, 1:9 or 1:8 twist, with device thread
NEA style Free float handguard (prefer sides to be rail free) to fit barrel
Magpul BUIS
About four different quick connect risers with optics for various scenarios and ammo: Red dot, Night vision, 4x fixed combat style and a 4.5-16 50mm

We all have our opinions...

Minus the a Motiuk custom engraved lower I am basically building this out of a 18" NEA, when it gets here. :)

I'm getting pretty close to my dream AR with my 20", but in all honesty I would give up my AR in a heartbeat if I could own an HK G3. I would sell my M14s too, and there would only be roller delayed rifles and Sig Sauer pistols in my safe.

:canadaFlag: Canadian:canadaFlag: C7.;)

Not a C7A1, not an A2, just a C7. And don't get me wrong I like CQB AR's, I have a 14.5.

Saw several lightly used looking C7's being wielded by possibly Army reserve soldiers or maybe Navy considering their condition, at the CF Base I was entering on Friday(didn't catch beret badge), no doubt training for base security,...... I saw an MP giving them the drill.

Nothing says "AR" like the 20" barrel M16A2/C7......... period.

Looks at home on the battle field or at Camp Perry. A Riflemans rifle for sure. Worthy successor to the M-1 and M-14.

Now to get funds for a C7 clone build:eek:. The way I like to enjoy service rifle, I'm sure it will be a blast.

Something like this..... Next year I'll own one with no license, no registration, no mag restrictions and be able to go hunting with it.

Which state will you be living in and can I get adopted????:D:D:D

I don't know...

I'm a bit surprised Blaxsun is selling his LMT MWS without even having shot it. Now he's asking for the Ultimate Dream AR without even trying his AR308? I think he's selling the dream AR without even realizing it. :slap:

Go shoot your LMT MWS!!!

:welcome:
