Not if you shoot out to 200+ yards and want to see/hit small targets. I have 4x-16x on two rimfires and would happily step up to 6x-24x if I could find what I want for a reasonable price. The serious target guys run 32x or more, even on rimfire.

Not all of us are happy with a crappy 4x rimfire scope.

I can barely make fifty yards with the one 4X here and maintain
tight groups.
<40 vision in my shooting eye makes for bigger optics for me....
