I am told, though, that they do have a new process for surface finish on the gen 4 stuff which gives a smoother texture.

But the bottom line for them is that they are saving mill time by focusing on the critical dimensions, not the aesthetic ones, which is part of how they are able to set the prices as they do.

They are feeding you a line about saving machining time. The Crap finish on dweenz case deflector is most likely the result of improper feed rates (too fast) and /or chipped endmills.

Sure you are. You told dweenz that you didn't have time to test his rifle. Then you told me that you did test it. One of those statements can't be true.
 
Mg4201 why don't you step back and take a breath for a moment? It must be tiring saving the world from poor machining. I'd really like to visit your shop and witness first hand the beacon of hope it must be.

Honestly, by now even NEA's biggest critics must be getting a bit weirded-out by how personally you are appearing to be engaged in this.

Are you for real? Dweenz was never told that and I think I stated that a few posts ago. If Dweenz thought he heard me say that then he is mistaken. Dweenz and I came to a solution about his gun and he was given a full refund. Something that I didn't have to do considering the grind/file/dremel marks he put on the lower trying to fix the issue. I try to keep all my customers happy and Dweenz wasnt with his NEA experience so I gave him a refund.

When i saw the sh!t quality of the machining on dweenz upper it pissed me right off. Anyone who would let that product out of the factory clearly doesn't care about the people who purchase the product. moreover nea is shipping these ar's to other countries and those people are seeing a crappy looking product with multiple function issues and knowing it came from canada, and that really pisses me off. the shilling and everything else that is just adding insult to injury.

It's not personal. Crappy products in the hands of overseas customers gives Canadian manufacturers a bad name. My business is manufacturing, if an overseas cutomer has a bad opinion of Canadian manufacturing it makes it harder for them to believe that my products are any better. So a guy like me who takes pride in what he does gets dragged down by people who don't care what kind of crap goes out of the door. You understand why this pisses me off now?

Holy Frak guys. Get over this s**t already. People out to save the world from poor Canadian manufacturing. People that don't really know what Tier something is in. People that want the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I await all these Matlock's on here to make a product, put it out for retail with their nuts on the chopping block and let everyone chop away. Jeff at NEA is doing his best trying to get a business going and he continues to do it day in, day out while a bunch of nimrods try cutting him down. He is relatively new firearms manufacturer and he is having growing pains. I applaud the guy because he hasn't quit yet when I am sure he has thought he should.

I type this as I sit around the camp fire listening to my kids whine about something. I am not sure who is worse, my kids or the CGN crowd.

Hate to tell you but there are other canadian Manufacturers that make a Bad product as well and so do other countries from all over the world , I have no dog in this ,But how dose this case of you not owning the product , it has nothing to do with your place of work , and it dose not owe you anything . I cant understand why you have such a hate for this company as it has absolutly nothing to do with you . Do you go on endless rants about all other canadian companies that make a substanderd product? each to there own I guess , I just dont understand why people complain when they dont own the product but yet they are the expert on it ?and I do buy rifles to prove people wrong ,mabey I will go buy an NEA to see for my self even though I dont need anouther AR. By the way I shoot a nork now ,I have had armalites,rra's,stag in the past with no issue .
