CZ Shadow - Where have you been all my life?

I just took delivery of my new Shadow and as of today put 150 rounds through it. The accuracy is incredible but being used to a 1911 found the rubber grips to make the gun feel a bit too wide for me even though I have large hands. Have any of this group changed to the thin Aluminum grips, if so how much of a difference did it make and what was the cost?
Thanks

Cost I have no idea but for my smaller hands they made a huge difference. I can't reach the mag release with my thumb on a 1911 without twisting my grip but thin grips on my shadow and I have no problem.

About 150 bucks. Not cheap but they are a lot thinner than the rubber stock grips. Plus the look of the gun is awesome. Check CRAFM for them. The dealer is listed above.

Just got my Shadow from CRAFM and added the aluminum grips
feel way better than the rubber ones, well worth the $

I shoot it a lot better than the HK P30L I had
never could get use to the trigger on that one

Update

I purchased the VZ grips and I'm really happy with them. Great grip with excellent traction and it made the grip width nearly 1/4" narrower. My wife tried my Shadow for the first time last weekend and totally humiliated me by putting the first 3 round in the bulls eye with overlapping holes. Then the gun started to get a bit heavy for her and her group started to spread out a bit but still a lot better than mine. She likes the sights but thinks the gun is too heavy for her so I bought her a Glock 17 Gen4:rolleyes:

Just bought a brand-new one yesterday... First range trip today, looking forward to many more !

I really like this gun, it's so easy to shot good. The first 10rds ever thru the gun were all in the black (~ 4") @ 15m.

Guys, try putting a competition hammer in those pistols and see what happens to the trigger. It makes the reset wonderful. It shortens the reset and gives you a much more positive feel so you know just when it will break. The change is amazing. You do have to take the gun apart. It takes all of 45 minutes if you are the least bit mechanically inclined. You can find new ones online for around $65

way to go on the new gun

I just got my first restricted 2 days ago CZ 75B feels great can't wait for my ATT to come in

ATT ugh. Can anybody give me a theory behind this? It just seems like utter nonsense (partially because of the run-around I'm getting on it). Really, wasn't the point of Restricted Licensing to determine whether or not I should be permitted to acquire or use a hand gun? I just don't see the point - I am permitted to buy a restricted weapon - I'm just not yet allowed to bring it home. Waiting on being allowed to bring my Shadow home going on 2 weeks now but I'm pretty stoked by how excellent you all say it is.

My first hangun purchase in February took 5 weeks for the Transfer ATT and STATT. My second one (the Shadow) in June took 2 1/2 weeks.

I think the BC CFO is on holidays for the summer. I was waiting on 2 transfer started a week apart. I got my second transfer approved before the first. The first came 2 weeks after the second. I think when they got back from holidays they started at the top of the pile:HR:

Funny, I sent in for my ATT, 4 days later I get a call from my local gun shop saying..

"Your ATT is approved, and here, when your course in done in three weeks, it's yours"..

With everyone complaining about wait times, Ontario seems to be on the ball!

Buying it from a store is different. The long wait times is for us pitiful individuals.

I just got a Shadow from a member here on EE. MB -> BC. Transfer requested Aug 1st. Transferred on the 14th. Letter received on yesterday on the 16th.
