It is #1 son's girlfriend's birthday this weekend, so for her gift he took her moose/caribou hunting. (how romantic) He's also scouting the huge grizzly he spotted last weekend.
She's becoming quite a hunter as she filled both black bear tags and her grizzly tag this spring. All with her Win Ftrwt 308 carbine using 150 gn Nosler solid base at about 2800 fps. One shot each so far!
Still think it's an odd birthday gift, my wife wants gold and diamonds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am gone on a anual moose trip that falls on our annaversary. she is fine with that. just tells me to bring home dinner. she hasnt come hunting yet. but thats in the works

Every one of the 3 previous in their own way. No lingering costs though, the last ex got about 1.2 M but we are all squared away now. The current one is an ongoing expense, but I guess that is how it's supposed to be. I think I'll keep her 'cause I'm getting to old to start over AGAIN !!

Anyway I'll keep all posted as to what they harvest this trip.

Well moose and caribou didn't co-operate for her birthday, however a wolf made the fatal mistake of lingering too long. He will now become a nice rug and 100 moose and caribou have been saved !! Will have pics up shortly.
