Ruger 22/45 Lite RP

Wonder how many dudes grabs those faux slide serrations and give em a yank, lol. What exactly are they there for, more weight loss.... Sure ain't looks IMO. That little unit is half the weight of my Mark III Competition!

Yep, the serrations are for weight reduction; there is a long-cut on the underside of the barrel as well.

I believe the actual barrel is also much smaller, hidden inside the aluminum upper/receiver.

Very light at only 22.8 oz's. Gold though? oh well, I want it for the weight.

Any dealers carry this one? I spent 30 minutes clicking all the banners at the top of the site and didn't find any of the sponsors with this 22/45.

Not in country yet - I called several stores today. So, I broke down and ordered a Charter Arms Pathfinder from Epps :)
I'll get a 22/45 Lite whenever they become available (hopefully by Xmas)... I guess the SP101 is now off the list.

Well someone in this thread said he held one at his local gun store ('LGS' in cool guy talk) so it kinda makes me think someone is selling them here in this country of ours, so proud and so brave, yet so frightened of, well, everything.

Cutaway of the Ruger 22/45 Lite.
Pretty skinny barrel, but held between two relatively beefy shoulders at the breech and and at the muzzle. No doubt it should have very good accuracy.

I know that one, destined for me as a replacement for an erroneously machined rear-sight dovetail, stainless steel 22/45 Mark III, is in fact in Country and on its way to the Ruger repair facility in Quebec and from there, on to me.
It's only been since April ..................
But I can proudly say to those people who kept telling me, "It's you and not the gun", that "It was, indeedeeeeeee, the gun and not me."

yes. They are threaded. Mine is and it was bought in BC. Since it appearerd the same week EPPS posted theirs (same shipment I assume), I'd be surprised if the one's Epps had were not.

Pssst. EPPS only has one left (I got the second last one).

Still looking for a compensator similar to that one shown in the video above. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
