NEA supplied suppressed ARs with non neutered mags for the EESA Zombie
match today. In between stages when no one was shooting they would go
heres a 30 round mag with 30 rounds in it. Have at eer.
This is one of just several mags my son and I shot.

Without getting into all the CGN NEA drama. They seemed like a good group of guys.

Thanks NEA for sponsoring Canadian 3 gun matches.

nice video. im not looking to rain on anyones parade when i ask this but how is using a supressed 30 round AR's legal at zombie 3 gun shoot? are NEA exempt to laws because NEA is a manufacturer? i know companies here in canada can make items that are phrohibited here for export but i would assume there is some kind controls or rules about where they can test and use said products.

I was wondering the same thing. Can anyone clarify this? If they can do this, who wants to start a company with me? :p

As I understand it, there are almost no regulations regarding use of firearms.... merely possession. Manufacturers with the appropriate business licenses are permitted to possess certain devices prohibited to civilians, such as suppressors or full capacity magazines. There are no laws I am aware of that prohibit people from using said devices...merely laws that prohibit them from possessing them.

It's the same legal wording that prohibits you from owning a firearm without the proper license, but at the same time does not prohibit you from discharging a firearm.

I was at the three gun match and would like to thank NEA for providing the suppressed AR and 30rd mag on Stage 5. It was a hoot and the guys from NEA were very friendly. The rifle sounded like a 22 rim-fire and was a pleasure to shoot. I look forward to next years match.

No laws, but CFO policy.

Manufacturers can shoot the products they build and sell to "test" them.

Retailers of prohibited items can not shoot them according to the CFO even though there is no law against it.

So I can turn up at a LE/MIL shoot but can't shoot our suppressors or 30rnd mags.

Nor will any agency put it in writing that they would like to see a demo, which is what we require for the CFO to be given permission to shoot with our products. They won't do this because is goes against procurement policies/laws.

So we are in a catch 22.

The CFO said if our clients want to test them, they can go to the US to try them out or read the information put out by the manufacturer.

So for us it's like trying to sell a car and not let the client take it for a test drive.

Shoot your cool stuff out of Province. Nuff said. Your business license gives you authorization to travel with your wares.

I'd be surprised of your CFO's "policy" would stand a court challenge on the basis that it restricts freedom of commerce. Your CFO is limiting your ability to become competent and develop business related experience with the product you sell, which unfairly restricts your ability to market and demonstrate said items.

Your CFO's "policy" could be argued as illegal because it directly conflicts with other elements of law.
