My Non-Restricted ACR (Custom Herron Arms)

hold on a quick minute - I recall someone on CGN told me that only the actual barrel was measured, even if the muzzle device is permanently attached.

So the restricted ACR barrel is 16.5 inches, plus another 2 inches for the muzzle device (2 inches?!), that would make it non-restricted length, so all you would have to do is pin the muzzle device to the barrel and it would make it non-restricted... am I getting something wrong here!?

someone please correct me.

The flash hider is machined out of the barrel. The barrel bore and rifling run all the way to the end of the flash hider in one continuous piece of metal.

Nice looking ACR! I love mine, but mines got the basic forend which is longer, I like it better for mounting the bipod further forward. Mine shoots like a laser too. They are accurate guns and mine has been very reliable. What are you using yours for? Varmints?

ahh I see... well that's no fun.

The only "no-fun" one could see is the time required in getting the conversion done.

The extra costs involved in converting it from res. to non-restricted ($2,900 + txs + $800 or so for the conversion) Vs possibly paying $2,800-3,000 for a factory non-restricted is actually pretty good*

Now, you can get a top of the line barrel (from Ian), the possibility of a machined-in FH so you end up with an overall shorter barrel, with twist-rate that you want, the finish on it that you want, etc.

*IF you buy your ACR used for say $2,600, then your potential total cost for the conversion could around $3,400, which is right there with the yet-to-be released factory NR ACR.

So anyway issue when shooting it ? Like the one queststar selling before??

Shouldn't be any issues as we are the ones who corrected the Questar barrel for AngryEyebrows.
We also testfire every single gun we do a conversion on, hence the reason we want the whole gun shipped to us not just the barrel and bolt

Of course there are always unforeseen issues but we stand not behind but infront of our work

This is a great news! Will have to give you a shout about my ACRs planned 7,62x39 conversion project , still missing couple parts and the barrel.
