Your 3-Gun Rifle Setup?

20" Bushmaster HB with free float forend, Bushmaster XM M/LEO lower, fixed length buttstock, Hogue grip, Magpul Aluminum trigger guard, Magpul Bad Lever, BAD Ambi Safety, extended charging handle, Geissele flat 3G trigger, oversize mag release, single point sling plate, YHM Muzzle break, Burris PEPR mount, Burris 1-4 XTR scope, 6 LAR mags with Magpul bases, double AR Bladetech tec lok pouch

ATRS gen 1 lower with geiselle ssa-e trigger, ambi safety and magpul CTR stock with moe+ Grip... factory colt 6920 upper unmodified with KAC RAS, Aimpoint 4S and a ARMS 40 BUIS.

no pistol or AFG ... just straight KAC panels... this setup will shoot 2MOA all day (my limits with red dot) have a NXS 1-4x on order but not sure if it is going on here or not.

10 round LAR mags... to use anything else unless specified in the regulation is crazy, although course design can mitigate some of the advantages of 10 rounders I personally believe it can never eliminate such, for specified 5 round mags I use pmags.

STI Tactical Sporting Rifle (AR-15) 16", Arredondo Mag Well, , Extended Mag Release, Extended Safety, MAGPUL B.A.D, AR-FX Skeleton Stock, Brownells AR-Restor Buffer. Elcan Spectre DR 1.5-6 Scope.

LAR-15 10 round mags with Aluminum Block Extensions to simulate 30 rounder length and give purchase to mag seating with the mag well.

Somewhat of a mash up...

Rolling Thunder Comp
15" handguard
JP trigger group (crisp 3 lbs)
Bushnell Elite Tactical 1-6.5x scope
Larue SPR-E QD mount
CTR stock and Overmoulded grip

I was down in Idaho recently and got to shoot in a 3-gun match. The rifle stage had steel plates at 68yds, 96yds, 168yds, and 300yds. The furthest I'd ever shot a rifle in a 3-gun match before was 50yds. Luckily, I had just purchased an Elcan SpecterDR the day before and I didn't have any trouble with the longer distances. Amazing glass.

I'll be an oddball here...

CZ-858 in 7.62x39 w/ 19" barrel
FAB pistol grip
AR buffer tube adapter
AR milspec buffer tube
CTR adjustable stock
FAB fore end
Tactical bolt release
Tactical dual mag release
Viper red dot

Sure, I reload twice as much as everyone else, but I don't think it kills my times that much. I save a lot of money by running cheap MFS non-corrosive ammo and saved a lot of the actual rifle vs an AR build. I never have LAR mag issues either, ;) (Plus, it's fun to hit gongs with that heavier round... really swings them around!)

I have a brake on it too... Not even sure what type though as I have a few and still haven't settled on which is the best for me. It's a hybrid flash suppressor of some manufacture though, lol...

You have the right idea. Spend money on practice ammo to get good; not spend money on gear to look cool.

A solid choice. I have one as my second backup gun or my fun gun if I shoot several divisions

Lol... Yeah, I can reload that CZ HELLA fast because I have twice as much practice at doing it. Plus, it's unrestricted so I can hop in my truck, head out to the mountains and practice stages to my hearts content! I take my PTW airsoft pistol with me and my SXP and I can set any stage and run the gamut fully legal. Fish cops do sometimes stop by to watch and make sure I'm legal, but generally they just wanna try it, hahaha!

I firmly agree on the "practice more, spend less, who cares if it's cool/whatever works for you" principle. It goes a lot further than any special brand or type of gun. I started this year with a CZ-858 unrestricted w/ some mods, my CZ SP-01 Shadow, and a Win SXP camp/field just to see if 3 gun was for me. I facking love 3 gun, but am still not willing to spend x amount of thousands of dollars to change my rigs. I think 3 gun for me is more about fun than it is competition. The guys that shoot it here in Alberta are super awesome and I'd hate to wreck the "loose" feeling with an over-shadow of competition. :D

FWIW, I've been debating an AR for 2 years. Still haven't pulled the trigger and gotten one, but if I do it will be a CORE15 piston MOE.
