AR-15's

Hmm... that TR24 looks familiar.... :) Nice rifle!
Thanks.;)

What sights do you guys prefer for the AR-15?

My choices for optics are above, my reasons for choosing them are as follows.

The 1-4 gives me the ability to run just as fast as a reddot at 1x but the infinitely variable option to "zoom" up to 4x for the distance shots or for greater precision. To be honest, the Accupoint spends most of its time at 1x. The fibre optics of the dual illumination makes the aiming point(the triangle) really stand out and grabs your eye. the tritium works well in low or no light and not needing batteries is a huge bonus in my opinion.

The RMR was originally chosen to ride on my CZ858 but I had issues with it holding zero due to movement in the top handguard it was mounted on. In the end I prefer the NEA peep rear and green fibre optic front post for my CZ858. So the RMR got moved to the backup AR. The RMR like the Accupoint is also dual illuminated(fibre optic and tritium). The RMR performs just like any reddot, but it is very small and very light. Obviously I'm stuck with 1x only but its not really an issue.

That's pretty heavy for such a compact one isnt it?

The base weight is 6.5lbs with an MOE stock, A2 flash hider and no optics. I've upgraded it with the CTR, added the enhanced stock pad, LaRue RISR, BAD, Gear Sector sling mount/hand stop, Aimpoint Micro T1/LaRue LT-660 mount and the AAC brake. 135g for the RISR, 78g for the LT-660, 84g for the T1 and 123g for the AAC. Even if I stripped the extra accessories, I'd still be at 7lbs with the Aimpoint - so I think the extra capabilities are worth the extra 5-6oz.

My loving woman let me replace the LMT I loved and sold (had to pay bills when out of work) with something I've always wanted! This one ain't getting sold! Ever!

PWS MK114

- Burris PEPR 30mm QD
- Magpul Rail Covers (AFG2 on the way!)
- Sh1tload of PMAGS (not shown)

Yep...

AFG2 and a Sling...
Gonna move the Gear Sector Flashlight mount over to it as well...

Then I'm done (until I upgrade the trigger)

BAD lever, BAD A.S.S. selector, Geissele trigger, KNS pins, enhanced stock pad, ambi mag release, LaRue RISR, new Magpul XTM panels and handstop, new PMAGs to replace the older ones...

I sometimes really, really hate ARs... ;)
