It's really great that this sale happens just as I get a paycheck with lots of overtime and I was thinking that I needed a p226. I'm not about to argue with fate on this one I think that I have to.
Same here - I've been looking for a Sig 1911 Scorpion Carry for while, and Questar had one in stock!
A big thank-you to Derek and everyone else and Questar for a smooth transaction. The Scorpion arrived today and it looks fantastic. I cannot wait to get this one out to the range.
haha fair enough. Here is one pic to get things started, the Scorpion alongside her big sister, a full-size Trojan.
I did manage to get out to the range briefly. Initial thoughts:
- The Sig is very well put together. The action is very smooth.
- The factory trigger is amazing. It is very close in takeup and break to my Armco-tuned Trojan.
- The Sig is very accurate. The sights are bang on, and from 10m each mag tends to make one ragged hole without too much effort from me.

You guys sold me on the Sig Sale. Just ordered my first Sig 1911 pistol (2-Tone Match Elite with target sights and wood grips). In 12-24 weeks I will be a 'kid in the candy store' 
(Holding out for Xmas though-crossing my fingers). Last custom/backorder I placed with Questar was only a 6 week wait.

I'm noticing most of the 226/229 sigs are gone from the store does that mean the sale is over?
That wasn`t much notice that the sale was ending...or any dates for that matter

I bet they are sold out on most stock... I got my order in . I posted about the Sig sale in the Pistols thread several times in the last 3 days (even told my range buddy that his dream gun just went on sale-he bought it!), sales don't last forever. Stock does sell out.
They sold a ton of Sigs I am sure. Strong dollar, excellent deals to be had.

I was all ready to hit the "Confirm" button on a Nightmare Carry lastnight.....but the wife distracted me. Went to complete the transaction this am....you know the rest. When I contacted Q they're response was, "we had to abruptly end the sale"...

Not the best customer experience considering I asked about 7 days ago and was told the sale would be on for 'a while' oh well I still have a P229 elite coming just unfortunately not from Questar.

Sorry guys, since I made my online purchase on Sunday morning, I got really excited and posted about the "Sig Sale" several times. There may have been a big run on them... Hope this wasn't my doing but I let it be known that these were insane prices. I bought a 1911 that is USA retail priced at $1170, got it for $1024. These were crazy deals. I bet they sold out and got a crapload of orders.
