How Much?

Hi guys,

Just a curious question here, I started this hobby in jan this year and ive spent close to 5-6k on guns ammo ect.
just curious how much other people have spent or am i just going crazy.

Trust me, at 5 or 6 k you've just started. I'd say the average gun enthusiast has quite a bit more into the hobby than what you spent.

The one declared at home.
The other is the actual amount.

$5-6K? That wouldn't even pay for my lathe and the tooling needed for gun work. I think I have 20-odd reamers.

I would say in my life a 1/4 million would not come close to it if I counted all firearm related costs. In realty it is probably closed to more then a half million, I figure 15 to 20 thousand at least every year for 40 years or so.

now ive learned to get a 22lr pistols.
time to break out the wallet to save more money, not to sure how this is gonna work lol

I screwed up when buying a Garand of the EE. I accidently used EMT from our joint account vs my personnal account. Had to answer some questions, she doesn't understand why I would need that gun. I explained I wanted a ping, she didn't get it.

...Yea, they're weird that way huh! I made a $4K purchase on 1 item this year (never mind the other's and then the feed) and it didn't even go "ping"! All I had for an explanation was "yea, I know, no no you're right hon, but it was calling me...and look how cool it is!?" Lets just say its a good thing I have 2 boys to back me up. "Yea Mom look how cool it is!" I faced a couple of cold nights all the same.

start packing your lunch , walk to work or bum a ride , buy only guns your going to use , buy a dillon , & get your kids into it & maybe your father in law , as the wife is prob a lost cause .
