New Bullpup for Australia

Interesting picture. Tiny little optic. Looks like some kind of Trijicon.

Given that the Australian army is fully equipped with the Steyr Aug now I doubt that they would re-equip with a new rifle any time soon.

Never liked the AUG, this variant is just polishing a turd.

I recently had a conversation with a Sgt in the Irish Army. He thinks the Steyr is great. He says when they went to it the scores of the poor shots skyrocketed so overall there was a considerable improvement in marksmanship.

I don't really follow what various militaries issue but prior to the AUG didn't the irish use the FAL?

Calling it an improvement over a legacy design like the FAL - especially accuracy wise - not necessarily a huge complement.

Not that the AUG is necessarily a terrible rifle...my limited understanding is that it's a pretty good option. Trigger is supposed to be mediocre but then it's a bullpup.

Anyway I have a hard time imagining this making it here for obvious reasons.

But still yet to see a bullpup with a really good trigger , My 20 inch barrel AR shoots much better than my Tavor , but the Tavor was not made to be a target rifle. it has good enough accuracy for a infantry rifle but not really up to par for a DMR role or varmint hunting .

You should try the trigger on an RFB that's had a few rounds through it...not bad....for a bullpup.
