Custom AR-15 Lower Receivers Available!

The RCMP requires the receiver marked with the model designation, manufacturer, and serial number.

A newly designed, black rifle that would be classified as non-restricted is definitely something of interest for us. However, that is a process that takes years of R&D, and several million dollars. The Magpul Masada/Remington ACR is a great example of this.

The planned cost of our upper is $149.99

If you can copy an existing AR 15 platform that has an FRT why can't you copy an existing AR 180B platform that also has an FRT without spending millions of dollars & yrs of R&D ?

Several reasons:
-Although it might not take a large sum of money to start copying the AR180B platform, it would still take a lot of time to reverse engineer it. An existing plastic receiver doesn't tell you the desired dimensions, let alone the dimensional tolerances/clearances. It also doesn't tell you the best material to use.

-There is an existing infrastructure for AR15s, not so much for AR180Bs. Many parts besides the receiver would have to be manufactured, which also add cost and time.

-There is at least 2 other companies that are already planning on releasing AR180B-ish clones.

-FWIW we still had to get an FRT issued even though our lower is essential an AR-15 clone.

Basically, if a great deal of time and money is being spent, it is better (and perhaps easier) to design and build a completely new rifle.

How about a picture of the inside of the MRC receiver

They turned out great!!! Canada Post tracking says mine is out for delivery! Can't wait to get home from work and see the base of my new build! Thanks again Motiuk!

Got the lower parts kit, Magpul MIAD grip, carbine buffer tube/buffer, and Magpul trigger guard installed :D, purchased a Spikes upper, and 7.5" barrel arrived earlier this week... just need to source a few more things and she'll be ready for a trip to the range.

how about an xmas special on these? I need some incentive to pull the trigger on a new build.

Too much backlog on the custom lowers to really offer a Christmas special on these. However, if there is enough interest, a Christmas deal on standard lowers and uppers may be possible.

I can't wait for mine in January sometime.....please!!! Good to hear that the orders are rolling in, I like when a Canadian business, an Alberta Business, succeeds!!

I'm definitely interested in a Christmas special on standard upper! I was actually just about to order one to match my new Motiuk custom lower, but will wait to see if this Christmas deal comes through!

If so I'll take one right now!!! :D

Hope you can wait a little bit longer, as there will be a deal on these on boxing day (26-DEC-2012).

Too Complicated?

Perhaps. The working area on the magwell is only 36mm x 36mm, with the thinnest possible line @ 0.3mm. It will definitely have to be "simplified" by eliminating the smaller details (feathers, jewels, etc.)

I Understand that. Thanks for the response, hopefully for my next build I can get a hold of you guys. I have one of your uppers and am impressed with it, so I would be glad to buy one of your custom lowers.
