Yah... thanks for the reasonablness. I thought post was a little on the "Wow" side myself, but that's fine. There is room for all opinions here. I am going to get to the bottom of this new T97 situation, definitively, and I'm going to do it within the next couple of days. I don't want to interfere with anyone's commercial venture any more than I already have, so I won't post in this section any further. But if anyone wants to know if this is: (a) sample verified, FRT already issued for a non-restricted T97, good to be shipped out as soon as they hit Canadian shores; or (b) something else (i.e., hoping to get a non-restircted classification once they are made, and show up in Canada in the Spring, and a sample is submitted), feel free to contact me and I'll let you know. I'm hoping it is (a), but these things don't run on hope.

Post it in the T97 thread that is not in any of the dealers forums

Frontier just added them & says In Stock.
LOL

Gonna give Ryan full credit for not sticking it to folks when he brain farts and sweetens the deal even when it's not his fault. For the S&W 1911 anny he gave the first 10 that ordered the original 500 the same price for the nicer replacement of 250 E series.
It was free at first... I listed it wrong. Those people will get free shipping...ie they weren't charged shipping at check out.

+1 on catching FREE SHIPPING. I purposely waited for the second batch hoping it'll arrive after April 1, 2013 with wishful thinking it'll be GST only; got order in before Ryan caught his boo boo. Wouldn't it be sweet same price as oil rich Albertians; We BCers deserve it :p
Phewf im glad i did my order when I did :)

Hahaha! Really?

BTW my credit card was not pre-authorized as you stated and your comment about letters regarding the conversion to full auto is just semantics. These T97s are a different animal. Do your DD and come back to us.

Well it appears I was misled by another dealer. The FRT is not approved quite yet. From North Sylva today....

"OK.

I have been monitoring this forum for a few days and this is the first opportunity I've had to post as It has been a busy week.

Let's set the record straight regarding the T97NSR, I wanted the be the first to post about it, but some excited dealers beat me to it.

For well over a year now, North Sylva has been working very hard with Chinese State Arsenals to redesign the receiver on the original T97A rifle. A few prototypes were created, and after a few tries, it seemed we finally got it right.

This newly made firearm will be know as the T97NSR. It is important to note that this is NOT a T97A. It has been completely redesigned from the ground up. We are currently in the process of finalizing on the FRT number and the new sample should be approved shortly. If everything goes according to plan, these should be in stores hopefully by early spring.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Thanks,"

Hmmmm.

Why did you have to be right with b). Notice all the naysayers to your warnings are absent now that the truth is out. Thanks again for bringing this out in time to get in on all the XMas sales instead of saving the funds for the T97.

You should be thanking North Sylva for the clarification but I still think there is a good possibility of them being available by April.

hehe, cue crickets indeed

You should be thanking ghostie for bringing the issue to the forefront resulting in NS' clarification but naysayers don't change their color.

Along with the good possibility of being available by April is Santa bringing me a free sample this XMas, you never know, gonna dream. Historically RCMP takes forever to do anything, with the past T97 fiasco embarrassment of TOTAL RECALL any rational being expects them to rake a new T97 SLOWLY through the coal if only to make a statement.

Thanks ghostie! Thanks to you to burnaby!

There will be LOTS of happy faces on CGN the day EE has good deals on non restricted T97 (provided the reviews are good).

Keep in mind for now there are only one source for them being North Sylva; Don't bother looking for them in the US. Folks have been waiting YEARS for a cheap bullpup. This baby is 1/3 of the price of a Tavor.
I think with a $1K + tax+ shipping norinco there will be A LOT of that going around. Get ready to have the black rifles section of the EE Flooded with T97's

I really wonder why there is no more engineers working on some other "tacti-cool" bullpups and black guns that can be classified as non-restricted... This quick pre-sale is a very good clue about canadians readyness to buy some cool guns... I'm thinking about starting a gun manufacturing buisness!!!
I hope the guy's at NORINCO did hear our prayers... And continue their R&D jobs!

Maybe you are not the center of the universe...?? Maybe life and firearm imports and classifications go on Without YOU.
These businesses go on just fine without YOU.

You don't need too know their dealings with the Government or their private business dealings.

Only one dealer asked for a deposit. Others just wanted a online commitment. And judging by the response, they will have no trouble selling out.

Sorry YOU were left out of the loop, No one really cares about your former experience....We are all super happy YOU know it All. Wow, you are soooo special.

But in the end. Pft...whatever.........

have to agree with this guy.
