Lets get a some lever action #### going

I really like that sling you have there. Where did you get it, if I may ask? I would like to have a sling on my 94, but I do not like those sling stud ring deallies that mount to the magazine.

Nice ! ! ! I really like that sling, where could I get one like that for my 94?

Haven't posted anything for a while so I thought it was time put up another nice Marlin that I recently picked up. Owned by the same guy for 50 years and was looking for a good home for it.
It's a Marlin Model 1894 in .38-40 caliber with 28" Rd Bbl (4 inches longer than standard) and full magazine. The rifle was shipped from the factory August 8th , 1903. The rifle came with the correct code E Lyman No 1 tang sight.

This rifle is in amazing condition for it's age and makes a very nice addition to my collection.

It is so gorgeous it makes me weep. Those are outstanding photos as well. Have you thought about putting together an exclusively Marlin Calendar for 2014?

Thanks Kirk. About a calendar exclusively for Marlins, not sure I'd know where I would find enough..LOL. I also don't want cut into your business. I would like to talk to you about this idea sometime though.

That is a beautiful Marlin 1894 Brian. You don't very often see them in that condition.
I have not posted any photos for awhile, so here are a couple photos of my Winchester 1894 38-55 Semi Deluxe. This 38-55 is a takedown Rifle with part-octagon barrel, 1/2 magazine, "I style" checkered stocks, and a hard rubber shotgun butt. Very nice feeling rifle. It was shipped out of the Winchester warehouse on January 17, 1905. If I can take any better photos, I will, but not easy getting natural light in this house, and it is not all that warm outside. The gun still actually has some nice case colors on the lever too, but you won't see that in my photos, lol.

Thank you Brian. Yes, it is a really nice addition. You just don`t see many semi deluxe rifles in 38-55. I have seen more deluxes in this caliber than semi deluxes. I have only seen a couple in this caliber, and this configuration makes is quite scarce too.
Hope you are enjoying some warmer weather down there!
Cheers,
Matt

I just have to come back and keep admiring that semi-deluxe 38-55. I can't nail what it is specifically, but it is very attractive rifle. Perhaps it is a combination of the semi-deluxe wood with the half octagon barrel and the caliber.

This thread made me drool big time. The only guns that I love to look at more than 1911’s are lever’s. Here’s a pic of my new Marline XLR 336 30-30

Hello people. I have been a member for awhile but never seem to have the time to put anything in here. Just read things. The other day I picked up a new Marlin 1895 GS 45-70. I have yet to get it out to fire it. But have cycled the lever a few times. The lever frequently does not close. Just wondering if it is something I can fix by cleaning + or tuning the action. Or is it something I should get the dealer to look into fixing.

Boy, sure don't know. You may want to ask this question in a separate thread, but not in this thread for photos, I think you will get a lot more people looking at it if you start a thread of your own with the question.

Brian and Matt, beautiful rifles. I wish my pockets were as deep as yours. Rifles like that don't come cheap. Thanks for the tip, Brian, I am all receiver sighted up with my old model 64. Got a nice Lymen 66A all mounted now.
