Full auto switch install

I have a dummy full auto switch and the connector rod. The rod will not work on my Norinco receiver. Can I machine the receiver to accept the connector rod or is it for some strange reason a big no no? Can't see that it will be an issue because the receiver can't accept the switch like a full auto receiver.

The switch on its own shouldn't do anything to make it illegal, since it's a dummy and shouldn't interact with the disconnector in an evil/illegal/baby eating way...

The switch no but if it can be switched with the real parts then your up the creek with out a paddle.

Just glue it on and don't drill nothing....


Think of it this way...

Is that switch even though it's a dummy worth the following

Loseing firearms for life time or 10 years.

Going to jail 2-10 years

Fighting it in court and spending at least 50,000

Getting firearms taken away at the range if someone complains or you have a gun ho police officer there.

Legal or not I wouldn't mess with it.
 
I think he's talking about a "hawk's" type dummy selector switch with a connector rod. Nothing illegal about it, just jewlery for your stock.

To the op, just grind off the little tab in the center of rod and re-blue... you should be good to go. The grind marks will be hidden behind the rod.
 
+1 on 1<3 M14's advice... and it seems obvious that several of the earlier posters have never even seen a photo of the FA lug that is part of the USGI receiver forging, and necessary to mount the parts that make a USGI M14 FA. The OP was talking about a Dummy Switch...get it?
 
People should refrain from commenting on a post if they know nothing about the subject at hand.

DUMMY switches and connector rods are perfectly legal, and are just for show.

Well, you should be the first to take that advice.
The OP (read it) asks about drilling the receiver,
and that is a grey area (at best) open to interpretation
and a possible source of infinite pain for the owner.

+1, LOL, Yeah, i'm getting confused about whether the faceplants are for those who think the DUMMY selector switch is illegal or for those who
know it is perfectly legal, and cool to boot.

I will look in to grinding of the little tab which will be easier than to mill the receiver...... At least some one knows what I am talking about
 
PAY ATTENTION. This is how this is done legally without going to jail. I have done this and it is outlined step by step in the thread below. We do not attach to the receiver, it gets attached to the stock. Edit: Realized you meant milling a slot for the connector rod tab to fit into, can't do that as it is modifying the receiver, just grind off the tab on the connector rod so it fits flush against the receiver. All good.
