After reading dozens of reviews and watching every Youtube video on the Tokarev(Hickok45 sold me on this firearm), I started actively searching Canada's firearm retailers websites for a nice example of this iconic pistol. Most of what I was seeing were used surplus refurbs which is always a crap shoot. Prices ranged from $145-$190 depending on condition, which is still really good for any functioning auto pistol in decent shape. While doing my daily scroll through the EE, I found exactly what I was looking for...Kelly's was offering crate fresh unissued Polish Tok's! Screw the refurbs....brand new never used Tokarev's....and I get to be the first person to unleash some 7.62x25 hellfire out of it,...that's a pretty attractive selling point for me. Called Kelly's and after a good chat with a super nice guy who can appreciate Newfoundland humour(not everyone does :p), I've got my much anticipated hand picked Tok on the way. I never buy a firearm on impulse and always research the begeeze out of it before I add it to my personal arsenal of joy....Really excited about this purchase. This is how I like to buy:)

update...gotta call from Kelly's...my Polish Tokarev should be in my hands before weeks end. CFO was pretty backed up apparently....guess a lot of folks did some extra Christmas shopping this season :)

Well....Kelly's blew it for me. They've had my approval since Monday and my Tokarev is still sitting in their shop. I'm beyond disappointed...actually left work early because I was excited to receive my parcel from them. I've done nothing but give this New shop good press..... turned on a dozen forum members onto the deal they were offering, who in turn ordered from them...and this is what I get. Lesson learned...never again.

You know...it's been...what? 10 days since You started your topic?
That was quite busy week at that (if You didn't notice - Christmas and New Year), so take it easy.
These guys are probably dealing with many orders received over the short period of time.
If the pistol will be nice and clean, I would tone down the emotions.
It's pretty normal.
Sometimes when buying on-line waiting time of one week is expected.
It's just my own experience.
Good luck man.

Where I come from...a man is as only as good as his word. Yes, the CFO is at a crawl right now...all the more reason for a new shop to pick up the slack for new customers. I spoke with Wes on New Years Eve...he actually called me at home and said my approval came in and I could expect delivery Thursday...today. I came home early from work expecting a delivery notice and nothing. Called Kelly's and talked to Chris...who informed me my gun is still at their shop. My disappointment is justified. I don't know about the rest of the members here, but getting a new firearm is a big deal to me. Thanks for the Good Luck!

Things happen. At the moment, Kelly's is the only store with these... They have been flooded with calls since folks found out the quality of these NOS pistols... I EVEN PLACED AN ORDER & I'M A GLOCK GUY!!!

So, I'm not sure what happened, but I am sure you will be happy with your pistol if the pics folks are posting are any indication...

Cheers
Jay
P.S. I had a deal going with a member on here, and his mom passed away. He contacted me to say there was going to be a delay & I simply told him, take care of family & we will worry about the details later. IIRC, I got my rifle about a month late, but I also got a big thank you for understanding... The same member said others were giving him grief over the delay... Patience & understanding goes a long way in todays world of instant satisfaction.

Thanks Jay, I think in this case, its just a lack of concern. I spoke with Chris and he seemed like he couldn't care less that I was disappointed. Wes seems to care more about the business side of things. Chris sounded like he just got out of bed. Just figured they would have taken care of my order a little better.

Mines gona sit in a safe for 20+ years then im gona sell it on the EE for triple... So A few more days for CFO approval and shipping is no big deal.

Me to member of EOSC, I've placed my order for a Polish TT33 2 days ago...., I'll be there !!! and before spring garanteed !! ;)

Seriously though, look at shops like Can Ammo, Wanstalls, SFRC etc.., these places do huge business because they go above and beyond for their customers and it comes back to them tenfold. I've never spent a dime @ SFRC, but have a huge respect for them just because of the good feedback I've read right here on the forum. I learn every day just by reading the posts of other members.

The funny thing about that is.... in 20 years everything will have tripled..... better off to keep it.. cause once you sell it... tough to replace, and you will kick yourself. And I have no idea how well you kick... but it might hurt.

I think I just fell in love with you! LOL!!

BWAHAHAHA!!! I'm flattered, really I am... But I can sense it's THE GUN you're interested in... HA HA HA

Okay, this is getting interesting! How about we keep tabs & make it a POLISH / BELTFED range day at EOSC in the spring!!! Only issue for me is COST OF AMMO for the beltfed... I can't afford to feed it... ha ha

Cheers
