I believe you had to have the link to be able to see the rifle. Just send them an email and they should be able to put you on the waiting list for next shipment. (I sent them an email and asked a few questions and a couple months later bought the rifle!)

Beware though, I bought mine 1 hour after the email was sent @6pm and they were sold by 10AM'ish the next day.

here ya go guys...JRA M1 Garand

edit: August 1943 receiver : )

Beautiful! :xes

The JRA rifles go fast..really fast. I just got a JRA 1903A4 a few days ago. I bought it online a couple hours after they went up, went to Wanstalls the next day to pick it up and they were sold out.

If you want one, ask Gary to put you on a notification list. When you get that e-mail...you better buy your rifle right away

How did wanstalls ship it? I didn't know a box of ammo comes with it?

Mine is coming Canada post... Or did you just have a box of ammo for the picture?

the ammo was just out for the picture...it does not come with ammo.

it comes in the hard case, a couple enblocs and manual.

How readily available is ammunition for the garand? Ive been reading about ammo all morning around the internet. Can I not buy ammo for this at Canadian tire or Bass Pro? Im new to all of this lol.

Hornady does make ammo specifically for the M1. http://www.theammosource.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_108_120&products_id=2114

I think the problem with some commercial ammo is when you start using 180gr bullets. They can be damaging to the op rod. I might be wrong though.

It's the gas pressure created by commercial ammo that can be harmful to the op rod, for you reloaders, from Master PO recipes

These loads only duplicate military spec. velocities for the given bullet weight, using commercial cases and powders. If you are using military cases, drop all charges by 2 grains.

Yes, you buy the ammo anywhere, why not buy some from Wanstalls when you order the rifle?

Just picked mine up from the post office two days ago. I can't wait to take it to the range, but I have some reloading to do first!
Thumbs up to Gary from wanstalls for the awesome communication (via email), your efforts got you a sale. (Could have sold it without trying because of the quality product, but it was better off being sold to me!)
