Still Waiting.........

Maybe we, the customers, ordered so much during the holidays they can't keep up. There is a lot of paperwork with firearms that needs to be done before they move an inch. I've emailed companies and haven't heard back for a month or better, doesn't mean they're forever blacklisted. I just save up more money and buy more. Canada doesn't have to let us have guns, I see it as a privilege, maybe that's why I could care less when I get them. If you wanted it quicker try importing it yourself, or driving to the nearest dealer and buy it there. Sure CanAm doesn't respond quickly, but doesn't that show they have better things to do like ship orders or fill out paperwork. Try and think what it's like for them right now, they know they're behind and have customers lighting torches and gathering pitchforks. Lets try and remember they are only human.

Canadaammo had a large shipment come in and I know they been busy trying to figure out where to put it all. Seems several large orders all arrived pretty much at the same time.

Its funny what ya are saying cuz im sure alot of these people arent ordering guns (like myself) i only ordered ammo and you do not need paperwork or waiting on a CFO for that stuff!!!

I could be wrong but when buying ammo don't they have to check out your PAL number with the RCMP or get a copy of the PAL license sent to them, or can anyone go online and buy ammo now? That is somewhat like paperwork, administrative work sound better? And you have to wait for everyone else who ordered guns before you since it's first come first serve I hope.

Exactly. I ordered an AR part and ammo from a Canadian retailer ( and site sponsor) located on the other side of the country, on Jan 01st. My order arrived today. That's how serious retailers do business. The fanboys will line up with a laundry list of excuses for these guys but, at the end of the day, you can't load your gun with excuses. Rave away lemmings!

I placed an ammo order online on Dec 21st. Got a shipping confirmation today Jan 7th.
Is it a bit of wait - sure, but considering there was Christmas holidays and New Years in there not too bad.
I'm not at all unhappy with the wait.
A lot of businesses, myself included, shut down completely at this time of year.

I didn't bother to email or call as I figured maybe they were a teeny bit busy and I thought they were better off filling orders than dealing with my impatience. It's toys after all, not meds.

I'm sure glad I don't have a small online business. People would make me crazy(er).

I ordered before xmas and got my order in my hands in less than 2 weeks (cross country) which is what I've come to expect. A little wait is fine with me. It could have been faster, but I know what to expect from previous orders. I'm sure the guys at CanadaAmmo like to relax during the holidays like you guys do.

Whatever the hold up is, it's ok by me. What is under the microscope here is the utter lack of communication, and quite honestly respect. Just tell me "we're busy as heck and we'd love to send ya that order but hold tight, we're working on it". Personally, I would respect that. I do not ever beat around the bush and it has served me well. I have been mislead multiple times and when I have already given these folks my hard earned money weeks ago, it is absolutely fundamental to our working relationship that we have clear, open communication about the status of our business dealing. It has taken a lot to get me to post on here. I have Given Matt, Paul and whomever else answers their phone calls, ample opportunity to be straight with me. This has NOT happened. I do not care for excuses about firearms deals taking longer, that is rubbish. If you have the demand, it warrants longer working hours or more bodies on the floor pushing out orders. Is it ok for you to send me some guns and ammunition and then me take weeks to pay you? You know the answer to that one.

Mike

It's always the new guys... seriously. The Xmas season is probably the busiest for a gun/ammo store. Look what is going on in the states, Irunguns is almost sold out on everything. Brownell's and Numrich have a huge banner about "Long waits-Backorders may not be filled"... I'm sure this has trickled down to the Canadian market and retailers are SWAMPED. A little patience. I think the OP is the guy showing a lack of respect. But this seems to be the norm nowadays in the Member Forums.

Perhaps it's standard practice in this industry to charge credit cards before shipping but that surprised me a little bit. It's my first time buying guns&ammo online. I really like how big national retailers only charge my credit card when an order is actually shipped. To be fair CanAm did say in another thread they still have lots of orders to ship and I'm guessing my Dec 21 purchase will hopefully ship sometime this week.

Sorry we cannot live up to everyone's expectations, but we try to. The season has been very busy, as you all know

As I have said before, we answer every email we receive.

Right now we cannot physically process orders fast enough to catch up. We are implementing an automated processing system in the next few weeks which will speed things up considerable.

It seems people don't have patience anymore. Kind of sucks when some of us come into sponsor's forums for new product announcements and deals just to see some rants about waiting too long or not getting an email response.

It probably is the new guys -- I've just been waiting since I heard from friends who have been at this longer then I have that turnaround is just slower -- It's just how it is in the firearms world.
But if you ask most people about online shopping, they talk about how quick it is from ordering to delivery at their house. That's all. I dont think its being rude on purpose -- its just when your used to 1 or 2 day turn arounds, it's just weird ordering and having to wait a week or two. Oh, just to add, I ordered on the 20th -- shipped today :) I'm waiting on an AR, ordered and paid on the 12th from another retailer -- held up by the RCMP. Online ordering with firearms stuff is just different.

Thumbs up for Canada Ammo, always a good experience for me.

That is good to hear. This isn't a witch hunt, just a quest for some clarity. I still do not understand why I have had (and some others as well) such a bad experience thus far. I ordered from Canada Ammo due to great reviews

Maybe your email address goes to their spam folder. I would check with them. They are generally very pleasant to deal with.
