FIRST In Canada: Nighthawk Custom Chris Costa Compact 1911

Fantastic 1911.
Built with just the right stuff...can't go wrong with any Nighthawk customs.

side note...Costa was not the founder of anything.

Magpul Industries was founded by Richard Fitzpatrick.

A division of MI is Magpul Dynamics which in 2007 Costa was hired to improve and that he did...
 
man if I was rich I'd get one for sure. that's a lot of paper for a 1911, even though it may be one of the best there is. what pisses me off is that it doesn't even come with ambi safety :( but then again I can't afford it anyway!)

Ambi safety is the only modification Chris Costa will allow...
 
I personally am not a big pistol guy but damn that's a nice piece of kit, considering you could get a H&K Mr223/308 and still have left over change in this 45.'s stead is something to consider. Really nice though gents, thanks for bringing this kind of stuff in it's appreciated by the community as a whole. As for the lucky owners with disposible income I am OD green with envy.
 
Too rich for my blood too, especially when there are many really nice 1911's out there for half the price or less. I'd be scared to shoot it, might scratch it and cry!!! It's maybe a little too nice :)

I'll be more explicit, you're just paying for a name on top of a name here. Show me any objective side by side comparison that in terms of accuracy and reliability makes these over hyped boutique peices significantly better than a 1911 you can get for half or a third of the price.
Toss out Kimber too though, they fall in the same category.

I wish I owned a variety of 1911's from different manufacturers at different price points to compare the NHC to....

Oh wait, I do.


This piece is head and shoulders above any other 1911 I've owned, held or shot...zero comparison.


But then again, a Cavalier shares many things with an over priced boutique car like The Corvette, 4 wheels, hood, windows, gas pedal......so I guess they're the same too


Keep one thing in mind JR, over priced is a relative term....
