YOU'VE GOT TO SEE THIS!! (largest coyote ever shot in Newfoundland)

it was in the french paper acadie nouvelle, but i do believe it,s posted on the new brunswick wildlife federation website ,i have seen it on another hunting forum website somewhere but i d,ont remember were it is i,ll try to find it!! i should of pasted the newspaper picture at the time, just d,idnt think!!!!!!

Where I live (North Bay) There are red wolves, timber wolves, coyotes, and lots of feral dogs. In this area DNA proves very rare specimens are pure. Some exhibit 2, 3, or even 4 DNA types. I am personally aware of some wolf/dog house pets.

Welcome back from the dead thread.

Anyway, the identity of this particular animal was established awhile ago as Labrador wolf. At least two other animals have since been identified, and the presence of an occasional transient is not particularly surprising. The question is whether they are re-establishing themselves on the island, and thus far, no real indications of that.

got a necrophiliac around here for digging up old dead threads. once its dead and gone for half a year let it rot lol.

I still can't believe anyone was dumb enough to call that a coyote............

x2...it looks nothing like a yote.

1) i really wish people would weigh their "huge yotes" before making claims of their yotes averaging 50-60 lbs. worse than fishermen...
2) just because a coyote is a darker or lighter color phase does NOT mean it's a coydog or wolf...
3) apparently there's a lot of armchair biologists out there who haven't even seen a yote within 100 yards...

on another forum i visit someone posted pics of a "big" coyote in the city and the armchair biologists came out of the woodwork claiming it was a huge coydog with massive bone structure simply because it was a touch lighter than your average yote. judging by the physical features and using the 4ft fence as scale, i'd say it's just a typical 35lb yote for the area...

I still say it was a WOLF...

Even asked my G/F what it was (just the pic, no info)... WOLF

Told her people claim it's a coyote because it was shot in NFLD, even she called :bsFlag:

BTW, we both know what Eastern Coyotes & Western coyotes look like, we're from N.S. living in Alberta.

;)

A lot of confusion surrounding this topic exists for many factors which have already been discussed. Your post doesn't contribute to an already dead discussion. Drop it.

In those posts, I identified wastes of bandwidth. I did the same here. Just because you have a post count equalling on average 7-8 posts a day over a few straight years, doesn't mean you need to frequently input your rude 2 cents worth into as many threads as you do. Funny that you label me as a troll, when it is you that are always posting textual diarrhea.
