AR-15's

Timbertec, what rail is that?

It's not a Stand-alone Rail... it's part of the PWS system... not something you can just add to your rifle, it's a system used by PWS..

From the website:
An innovative hand guard system utilizes a proprietary non-free float system that allows the end user or unit armorer to replace individual rails as needed without removing the barrel, barrel nut or even other rails. This system allows the user to attach numerous Picatinny rail-mounted devices such as sights, lights, and laser aiming devices.

The little "angle thingy" under the rail is a Magpul AFG2. It's exactly for what it looks like, it places your wrist at a different angle - Some find it more comfortable (Like I do) and it improves control with a "High thumb" grip.

I know I'm probably going to get ass-reamed, since I know little-to-nothing about AR's... but are 80%'s legal or sold in Canada? If not, is there any state of cast/manufacture other than a stripped lower that is legal?

Just curious, I see a lot of EXTREMELY cheap lowers in the States, and I have access to mills/cnc.

short answer YES

If you know little about lowers, you would be better off getting a complete stripped lower. Your cnc/mills will do you little good as you will only use it for one cut. If you don't F it up, then there is the paper work. Find yourself a cheap stripped lower on EE and get a LPK from one of the surporting dealers.

Short answer yes... if that's the case, is there anyone in Canada that manufactures them, or any supplier in the States that ships to Canada? Also, I'm assuming regardless of the fact it's an 80%'er, we probably have to register it anyways up here?

Sorry for the questions, I'm interested in stepping into my first AR but I don't like the pricetag.

I'm not sure about anyone else but I believe Dlask was selling them. No need to register an 80%er until they have been modified to be used as a functional lower.

Jesus, 286 pages of pictures of 5-shot coyote guns you're not legally allowed to shoot coyotes with. :p

The CFC told me a few years ago there are 4,089 AR-15s in the registry, I'm wondering what percentage of them are in this thread...

I think that's because most Colts are registered as "SP-1", or "HBAR"

Armalites are "M15"

Bushmasters are "XM-15"

and so on.... ect.

ATRS 9 inch 300 Black Out barrel and Lightweight Flash Eliminator on a Colt Upper with a Troy 9 inch TRX Extreme rail. Lower is a Palmetto State Armory with a DD LPK and a Colt "Super-Stoc" and Magpul grip. Sights and BCG pending.
