Tokarev TT-33 ordered from Kelly's Sporting Goods

Anyone finding that Tokarev are complicated should go see my Thread ''TOKAREV TT33 Disassemble - Reassemble'', I've made the videos....., complete disassemble except for the ''trigger kit''.

Then the Tok should be dead simple compared to the Ruger,,I have both and you can dis/reassemble the tok with your eyes closed! The Ruger mark iii, not so much! Ha Just thought of something. I wil soon have 3 very nice Tokarev's and still paid less for the three than I did for my 1 Mark iii comp! Still, both are nice!!

Never considered the TT-33 a good looking pistol but the cartridge and quality/condition of the way these Polish ones look has piqued my curiosity!

Good looks is a matter of perception. Do you consider English Bulldogs good looking?
Perception exactly, I personally think the glock is as ugly as they come and these tt-33's, especially the polish ones, to be very sleek, hot little pistols! A little bit of a sleeper look, they don't show you just how much punch they have till you pull the trigger! Like a stripped down race car,, nothing extra, only what it needs to get the job done!

Hi all

Got mine yesterday and had a great time stripping it down, cleaning and lubing. No signs of rust. Also no cosmoline, the firearm was very dry. Some oils/grease in the firing pin chamber and in the ejector slot. Excellent condition hope to shoot it tomorrow.

These are all beauts.

But they've been stored a long time, apparently without cosmoline.

Anyone getting any rust???? Particularly inside?

I'm fully aware that looks are 100% subjective. Just saying that the function and quality of these polish imports is allowing me to overlook my subjective view and dislike for some of the lines of the TT33 and consider ordering one! Oh, and seeing how cheap a case of almost 2600rds of Hungarian surplus helps too :) This would make a great plinker at the range for the prices.

My 1954 brand new Tok, yes without cosmoline, a big NO for the rust, like brand new in any show case gun in any store...., inside : very minor sign of rust, (less then my other two Tok 1945),
Arloashean: answer is no, absolutely no issue in regards to rust.

lolll, look is a personnale choice, those who are considering Tokarev not a good look......well, this is only a excuse to justify them for not buying.....well, there lost, our WIN ...that's it !

Anyone in BC receive theirs yet? I'm 3 weeks into a transfer now and no sign of completing. Just wondering.
I ordered mine 12/31/12. The transfer should have started on the 1/2/13 or 1/3/13. As of today I still haven't received my Transfer Notification. It's making me a little cranky for sure.

Kellys got these in first and cheapest, and they are keeping their price the same while others are increasing It is a small operation and they were surprised by the response, mostly from this site! I suppose they could hire someone else to help get through the backlog and increase the price,,, or we can wait patiently. He has already given away 2 all matching tt33's to thank us for the business. I am not sure we can ask for more without looking like complete a$$ h0!e's! Oh yea, and he ships the $220. handgun in a new hardcase!!!

In case that's what you're getting at, I'm totally not blaming Kelly's. I place the blame for the long delay squarely on the BC CFO's office. Useless parasites.

Ordered mine Jan 11, received it today by Canada Post. Fastest I have ever received a restricted in 30 years. Thanks Kellys.

In no way was my post directed at Kelly's as they have been nothing short of stellar for me.
My frustration was purely with the
BC CFO and their piss poor transfer times.
But on another note I just received a pm from Kelly's informing me that my transfer completed this morning and my Tok is already in the mail.
So that makes it exactly 3 weeks to the day for my transfer.
