I have a Russian one, but seem to be having feeding issues once the gun gets hot after 4-5 mags with corrosive ammo. Seems like the round wont get extracted and then gets jammed into the barrel by the next round. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? Makes me really not enjoy the Tokarev and just leave it in the safe most the time. And since it sits in the safe I feel like selling it!

The ammo is cheap, but can you get cheap non-steel core that you can shoot at an indoor range? I bought the 2280 round case of S&B FMJ surplus ammo, thinking it would have a lead core. Unfortunately, after doing the magnet test (stuck real good...) and cutting one open to see whether it was steel jacket or steel core, I can confirm that the box I got contains 2280 rounds with a thick copper jacket around a steel core. Probably explains why it slices through the metal plate when the 9mm doesn't....

I just got mine today. Sweet little gun. Finish on mine is in good shape but a dull brown pitina, inside and out. Not quiet the fresh deep bluing like OP's. Gives it an old but well taken care of look tho, I like it. Bore is perfect, bright and shiny. Not to bad for such an old gun.

I"m happy I got mine before the price jumped to $250.

I rec'd mine on Friday. My gun also has lots of brown patina inside and outside. In normal room light the blue looks good, but the brown patina is very visible when you view the gun on an angle in bright light. It also has what looks like holster wear on the sharp edges at the front end of the slide and on the barrel bushing. There are also several rub marks on the slide, which I assume are from the padding in the original wooden crates. I've also got a mag issue . . . I'm going to start a new post and see if anyone else is having similar problems.

I belive the chech ammo I have is copper coated steel jacket with a lead core? But yeah punches through allot of stuff... including level II vest pannels. The pannels have 20 layers, .45 230fmj barely scratches the first layer, 9mm and .40 make it through 5 or so, 357 to 8.... 7.62x25, all 20. folded the pannel in half to 'for sure' catch the bullets. not a single one stopped in over 40 layers of kevlar, what a crap bullet proof material IMHO ;)

Like allot of people I ordered 2, one was abosolute minty(the pic) The other has slight uneven bluing/ surface discoloration.... still real good shape though.
