EESA is opening up our 300 metre range on Feb. 09, 2013 for IPSC, IDPA and Multigun shooters for long range practice. We have seen a need and heard from shooters that they have no where to stretch the legs of their Action Shooting long guns. We will have reactive targets placed from 100 metres out to 300 metres.

We are pairing this practice day with an IPSC Classifier match on the same day. So, come on out and get classified, and for an extra $10 use our 300 metre range for some much needed long range rifle/carbine practice.

No steel core ammo to be shot at or long range steel.

Thanks

So, people may price that we have 6 matches going on the 9th. This is to
allow people to get classified in multiple divisions if they so choose. If
you are only you going to be shooting only one division, please sign up
for the original match "Lets get Classy".
Hopefully, some will take ad advantage of this.
It looks like we are going to be able to squeeze in 5 stages.
Thanks

Lol..if someone needs an invite pm me with your email and I will get something on our club letterhead...or will figure out who to contact to do so!
I wonder if the online sign up would be considered an invite?

I read an article yesterday that they would accept a text as an invite (CFO trying to justify how easy this would be) though I wouldn't want to be the first person to try it nor should we have to.

I just received a copy of the letter from the cfo to club execs outlining the new rule.
Looks like a note scribbled in crayon on the back of a dirty napkin will satisfy.
Reads as if even a "flyer" will do.

LOL.......but did they specify how dirty the napkin had to be?

No, but... The way I read the letter it looks as if they're enforcing a technicality.
I mean in practical terms any time I've shot at a range I wasn't a member of, having been "invited" was always implied.
Either by virtue of being a competitor at a match or simply as a "guest" of a member.

This new requirement to have or at least be able to produce something in writing to the hundreds of police who spend their shift out looking for people on their way to ranges really just serves to kill more trees.

I wonder who will be the first to get charged and taken to court over not having an invite..?

Your crime fighting tax dollars at work .. Lol

Six of us IPSC YBs got into the 10am squad! Woot..woot!! Looking forward to it! We are all heading to the Waterford match at 3:30pm on the way home as well. :)

Hey Craig, are we able to know which classifier stages you will be using?

I had 5 picked out, but was informed that these new classifiers don't have any data for them yet..ie the person that needs to shoot them to get the baseline, has not done so yet. These 5 would fit into our range really well without having to do a bunch of setup..if I use these, people wouldn't necessarily be classified right away....
So, I am still mulling over picking new classifiers stages, or maybe get the person who is able baseline the stages to our match to do so!
