SIG MPX - Gas operated SMG. It uses Polymer magazine hidden in the pants of the SIG staff.

Kriss V10 - they figured out the fire control switches need to be more human friendly but this won't show up until the end of 2013 (probably 2014 now due to the current panic?)

The 10mm seems to be making a bit of a resurgence the last year or so. Not sure why though? Yeah, it's powerful but certainly isn't as widely accepted at .45ACP. I guess with a lot of guys shooting .40S&W all you need to do is buy new brass if you reload.

Love the KRISS!! think I'd like it in 9mm though... Dunno why...

Edit *just saw on their site they will be releasing a 22lr KRISS, that'll be cool!*

I think it's because it is the only non-rimmed cartridge manufactured in any serious quantity with sufficient case capacity to really benefit much from a longer barrel. You can really drive them hard.

.45acp...there's not enough of a performance benefit to make it really worthwhile IMO. It's only real application is suppressed guns as far as I'm concerned.

Sig took the show with the new MPX. Described by them as "a machine pistol that redefines the category," it is the world's first submachine gun that operates with a fully closed and locked rotating bolt system resembling a scaled down AR-15 bolt carrier assembly.

The MPX employs a gas-operated short stroke piston system and allows the operator to change barrel length, caliber and stock configuration in the field to meet mission requirements. Because it's recoil system is contained entirely within the receiver, it features a user-configurable stock system that includes telescoping, folding, and no stock (pistol) configurations.

It is available in 9mm, .357SIG, and .40S&W, and in various barrel lengths including a non-NFA 6.5" barrel with a 9.5" permanently attached muzzle brake that accepts a suppressor tube to become an SD model. This is available as a civilian-legal MPX-C carbine.

If the price is right, I'll likely own one. However, I don't think it would ever be considered an "ultimate PDW".

Does anyone know if these have been approved for Canada yet? I love the look of the mpx-c with the huge brake, but I'm curious if that might be an issue since it looks easily converted to a suppressor (as designed).

If they do end up here, hopefully there will be 10 round pistol mags specifically, that we can use on the carbines. Otherwise I don't see the point of spending what I'm sure is a significant amount of money for 5 rounds of pistol calibre.

Apparently US MSRP is just over $1000, anywhere close to that in Canada I would buy.

Also, whats with the oversized magwell? Aesthetics? Easier loading of mags? Seems off.
