I was 5 minutes away from buying a -M on the weekend, until the wife found out and lost it because the nursery for the new first baby isn't done yet...I guess my priorities needed sorting out....

I wont personnaly shoot that #### stuff in any of my rifles... JP.

... I could add that steel casing is a no...no.. in any rifle but i though, it was obvious, now i wont mind shooting it in a SKS or a SVT but for the rest it is a personnal choice to use top ammo, good stuff always give you benefits on the long run... Cheers. JP.Thanks JP. I'm not as worried about how corrosive or not it is though. I'm concerned about the steel casing being hard on the internals of the gun. But you are probably right about some corrosive powder slipping in here and there. And if you don't clean right after use....![]()
I do shoot the MFS .223 out of my AR15 etc and have yet to see an issue with it. No problems feeding or ejecting and no noticeable wear made to the inside of the barrel. Canada ammo tells me bimetal jacket ammo is safe and will not cause any premature wear but I am still cautious with this ammo.
Biggest problem I am aware of with steel case ammo is that it can cause ejection and feeding issues. With a possibility of premature wear to the bolt on a semi auto rifle. When you think about it, the bolt is sliding over top the casing in the magazine every shot and I can see how this could not be very good for a rifle.
I'm sure I'll have no problem Good luck, 100 yard groups from a rested position with the xcr-m:

You can get decent 3 or 4 round groups with the xcr-m, but 5 to 10 round groups not so much.
