PMAGS have arrived...

If anyone in Calgary is looking for some ill have two black and two FDE availible for cost (26.99 plus tax). I purchased some extra for a friend but he grabbed some himself. Calgary only, pm me. I'll meet up with you when they come in.

so i guess that is M3, and M2 doesn't have that

gen 2 have the dust cover also. The difference with the gen 3 is they say its more robust but the biggest thing is that they can be used on other platforms that previous versions could not, so instead of other platforms having to spend $100+ per factory mags they can now use the gen 3 pmag for 75% less

Talk about luck, I preordered 6 mags with the expectation of waiting months and wham I get a email your items will ship next week...score... I'm glad I also refused to pay the gouged prices.50.00 bucks a mag plus shipping ya right shove your mag you know where:)

Funny people complain about the increase in prices from questar and another dealer... Both sold all their pmags in 1 hour.
So the demand is there and whiners too.

They whine because they are part of an entitled generation that wants everything given to them.
They don't realize this and all other dealers are a business and are here to make money, not friends.
They have never owned, operated, or managed a business to understand the costs of doing business.

what is LAR-15 mags? will they fit any AR-15? They are made from metal no?
LAR-15 mags are designed to fit in an AR style pistol called the LAR-15. Being semi-automatic pistol magazines their legal capacity is 10 rds instead of the 5 rds legally allowed in a semi-automatic rifle magazine. They happen to work in AR rifles as well, and are legal to use. They are metal magazines. I have a few of them from Questar I use in my PWS Mk112 AR and have only had a few rare issues with them; the follower on one of them has stuck releasing pressure on the rounds causing a failure to feed. All in all I find them to be great for what I use them for, punching holes in paper. Lots of holes.

Also got lucky, happened to turn on the computer at the right time yesterday and ordered 4 at a price I'm happy with. Still kicking myself for not ordering the 10 packs last summer, but lose some win some.

If you're talking about me you're wrong on all three accounts. :slap:

Missed the boat too, but I'm very, very, very impressed that Questar didn't gouge on the Pmag prices, unlike another dealer.

Questar is still my number 1 source for AR parts, class act all the way - good job guys.

You sure as hell did...

are you F'n kidding me?

look at the EE, Mark from Questar aka MWL is selling Pmags for $100 per magazine... thats probably why there are no more for sale on thier site.

Let's be VERY CLEAR...

  • the FACT is that I am NOT "aka MWL" on the EE
  • the FACT is that I have no idea who "MWL" on Gunnutz is and have no association with him/her
  • the FACT is that I do not post on Gunnutz under ANY name other than QUESTAR... I do not hide my identify or pretend to be anyone other than who I am
  • the FACT is that I have no magazines or anything else for sale on the EE

I appreciate that you deleted your post but for the many people who were emailed your post before you deleted it I want to make sure that EVERYONE understands that there was absolutely NO TRUTH to any of it.

The actual truth of the matter is that Scott and myself (the owners of Questar International) could have left all of these magazines in the US... saved ourselves the time and effort of exporting to Canada... saved the time and cost of having them pinned to 5 rounds... and sold them instantly on GunBroker in the US for $30 to $40 each (if not more) had we chosen to do so. I figure it COST us at between $10 to $15 per magazine to sell them to Canadians rather than leave them and sell them in the US... not to mention quicker and easier.

For those of you not too quick on the math that works out to @ $1,000 to $1,500 for every 100 magazines... in other words we gave away well over $5,000 by bringing them here and selling them here intead of in the US.

Scott has been busting his butt trying to find magazines for our Canadian customers... paying whatever prices we have to pay to get them and selling them for fractionally more than we were before the insanity in the US began. A year ago our price for PMAG's was $21.99 each... today they are $26.99 while others are selling PMAG's for prices ranging from $30 to $75 each. I think we're doing a pretty good job.

For people that don't like us that's fine... it's your right to buy from who you want and not buy from those you don't like... I accept that and I understand that.

But I really do object when people make statements about me that simply are outright lies and untrue.

Enough said.

Hey Mark.

I placed an order for the above ones. I kinda get the thought that these are the discontinued model?

I'm pretty much retired now... Scott handles all day-to-day operations so I'm not sure about details of the last shipment. I believe they received some of all three versions (the original PMAGs, the new Gen 3 version and the new MOE which is the original version but without cover plate). I think there were less than enough to fill back orders of the new Gen 3 and MOE models, but enough of the original versions to fill backorders and put the extras up for new order sales.

Bought a bunch of PMags (10 of ea), happy with the price and the service. Can't please all the people all the time, I know I appreciate the effort that it takes to deal with the government on both sides of the border. So keep bringing the stuff in and there's lots of us that will keep buying. Hope my gen3's are in this order, haven't heard yet.
