Optic Suggestion for HKMR308

USO already does; no need to wait - just gotta order one.

Beautiful rifle btw :)
Yeah but i have herd there are things wrong with theirs so figured i would wait a bit to get more of them out before i committ.......

But yeah a great rifle, but i have to say the KAC SR25 series in most ways would be the ticket I would think...

Just so much money, i just can't do it....I would be broke and in the hole for like 2 years....hahahha.

The Vortex HD Gen 2 is REALLY nice, i was looking at it at the show, but keep in mind 2 things...
1 - Made in China.... not a fan of a $2000 chinease scope.
2 - VERY heavy... i couldnt believe the weight of it.

there was another Leupold that was in the $900-1500 range that was a 1-8 ish.. let me see if i can find it.

edit here it is.
Leupold VX6 1-6 illuminated.

Who told you it was made in China? Most definitely is not.

Can't argue with the weight. Good glass is heavy.

Vortex Canada at the sportsman show... and my Vortex Sparc says "Made in China" right on the box.

although it is heavy, its going on a MR308... so the aded weight shouldnt be a big issue.
the eye piece is massive. i loved looking through that scope though.

I'm 99.9% sure that mine says Made in Japan on there.

Only the base level Vortex products are Chinese made.

I swear to you right now: if I am wrong, and my Razor HD 1-6 is a chinese scope, I will send you a pmag and a half a dozen print magazines from Shot Show.

I didn't know that about the USO's 1-8x - I too have been waiting for a scope to come out on the market with that magnification. Will research it some more; tks for the tip.

As for the SR25; well they certainly are the cat's a$$, but dang...$6k+txs is what I'd spend from a complete 7.62 rig. It's definitely dog house material for a couple of months :)

Print magazines?? like as in 3d printed?
dude i want to see 1.(or have 1?)

im not willing to put up the same deal for if ive been misinformed lol...but im gonna do some google searching and its tough to argue with you because i know you do your homework. the vortex catalogue doesn't say where they are made, i just checked.
im going based off what ive heard, and i said the same thing to the vortex rep..i told him thats a lot of $ for a scope made in china, he didnt comment on the price.

and i just got a lot of pmags today :)

S&B 1-8x is vaporware but for display samples.

I had a foreign unit ask for them on the 16" M110K1's, April 2014 was my anticipated delivery...

Leupold CQBSS is ITAR MIL/LE only due to lens coatings.

USO 1-8x looks nice - they have a HORUS reticle option as well.

Mk6 1-6x is a great scope for the $.

This looks awesome....

is this what you currently have on it?
i would leave that optic setup if it is.

i was looking at doing a 2-7 Leupold VXR with a Burris Fastfire 3 on mine but i ended up just going with the Leupold 1-4 VXR (i know youve seen it)..and btw, the scope is amazing but the red dot is dim when its snowing out. on regular daylight it works great though. i believe leupold uses the same red dot in all their scopes.

oh and i found out that the Vortex HD GEN2 is made in Japan... my mistake, but Vortex needs to have more info available on where they make each scope...now i want to know where the other vortex scopes are all made, i need a 4-12 non illuminated for my rem.

No that is a guys in the states(HKPRO), I'm tempted to get a S&B but there are other options out there still I'm looking into like Valdada that actually looks very appealing...

A Leupold Mark 8 CQBSS seemed like a good idea...until I saw the suggested retail price.

Holy $hitin' bricks batman!!!
$5,749.99

I will give them the benefit of the doubt that it's a real fine scope, but is it a $5,800?

Mil&LE do have more funds available to them than this lad :)

Optic Planet sells them at $3799. but it is not exportable.....Apparently it is very good but I have herd from many the optics being compromised to adjust to get it right, that being said that also has to do with ITAR compnent that makes it more effective with NV....

$1,545 and its in stock at the Canadian distributor mentioned above in the thread.

It's also available with a BDC reticule for the .223 62gr. bullets. Interesting for sure.

Anyone out there who's use their scopes, dare I hope, somewhat extensively and not just safe queens?

Lens clarify? Adjustments? Reticule? Combination of lens mm size & magnification?
