Waiting for a KSG for 8 months and Backorder cancelled

Wolverine is one of the most solid retailers in the field, if not the most solid. They are reputable and have a high level of integrity. If you stop doing business with them, it will only be your loss. They got no shortage of loyal customers and despite that fact, they don't take us for granted.

50 units 6 months at a time and divided up between 10 dealers across the country, yeah Justin Bieber tickets are easier to come by.

Don't blame Wolverine.
In my opinion you should be mad at all the guys out there (including yourself) that put their name on every list with the intentions of getting one then cancelling their other orders or selling the rest for a profit on the EE or worse never wanted one in the first place and planned on selling all of them.
Putting your name on multiple lists creates an artificial demand which is what pushes our perceived wait times to 6 years and is why it looks like they will never meet demand.
One ranter claims he waited like an adult but will wait for his order from the other retailer. That's not waiting like an adult, that's being ignorant and his replies on here are more along the lines of the rants of a spoiled child who didn't get what he wanted.
Wolverine once again did the right thing in my opinion and if I was a retailer I would cancel all preorders and just put them on the shelf when they arrive and say first come first served.

In the end you can't control what anyone else does and whining on here won't change anything.
Bashing a good company with a great track record won't change anything either so go cry somewhere else.
Grow up people. Wanna blame someone? Look in the mirror

Laugh2Laugh2Laugh2 that's awesome.

Not to rub it in anyone's face but I sure consider myself lucky to have picked up my RFB two weeks ago. I can see prices of these KelTec products sky rocketing on the EE now.

In response to the OP's original post........

I feel your pain man, I wish I could get the last 17 months of my life back being on the waiting list that long and like you I put my faith in Wolverine to come through eventually as they have no control of back orders. At least you got the email you were dropped, i had to find out here. This sucks.

Seriously I don't understand this... massive demand should dictate increased production?
Demand is often used to secure capital for production with the banks , If Kel-Tec chooses to remain debt free then they are limited to cash on hand for production . Many Banks will no longer lend to meet production costs in the US,so they are better off not relying on them anyway. Companies that rely on bank loans are often the first to go under because eventually the bank says no! These days it is common to have secured orders and no capital available for production. The bottom line is US orders come first for most US companies. The Canadian market is relatively small and often a distant second place when it comes time to fill backorders.

Roar! Yes this is all wolverine's fault!!!!!

Kidding of course, it is NOT their fault.

I have seen 2 KSGs on the EE.

You want one? Pay out the A$$ for it.

I personally didn't like the post of wolverine. No explanation what so ever for canceling. How ever the problem is the shootings in the US. The government has to make people feel good and safe, so Obama has to create new laws(restrictions) which of course creates such a big demand that Canada becomes irrelevant. Kel-tec and ARs, magazines and so on sold out so fast nobody could keep up with supplies. What we need here is companies that produce. We have machinists and engineers but no leaders. Kel-tec had new products that were in demand. Why are Canadians only followers. Can't we come up with some unique products?if somebody would produce some new weapons I would invest my money in stocks for a Canadian company that produces weapons! But it seems that all we get is a bunch of whiners

Gee I wish I would have thought of that...... and while I'm at it why not buy one in the EE and throw 1000 bucks into the fire. After 17 months of waiting patiently not pestering Wolverine for updates your damn right I've got sour grapes. I'll be shopping elsewhere.

It's really funny how people have this attitude being pissed off and refusing to do business with Wolverine from now on.

Firearm ownership is like having a crack addiction. Your gonna go to whatever dealer you can to get your fix.

Right on... You said it.

The KSG has become the "Tickle me Elmo" Gun of this decade. Very few guns, huge lines, inflates prices on used ones and people becoming angry if they do not get one. Example, angry enough that they will try to publicly harm a buisness who cant provide them one!

When most Stocking dealers are taking over 1000 phone calls and emails a year each requesting 1 of only 20 guns that come in that year, it makes for a very difficult system of maintaining everyones information. Selling 20 guns a day in mail order is not uncommon so for many Kel Tec dealers selling only 20 KSGs a year requires more work then it is worth if they are maintaining a list of everyone who asks.

They did nothing wrong. If they are no longer able to bring these in anymore, how can anyone take it as a personal insult? Atleast they took the time to contact everyone about this, details of how or why they are not bringing them is no ones buisness but theirs. Like us, they would love to have 1000 KSGs arrive to sadisfy everyone, but it will never happen in this market.

Look on the bright side, they are soon to bring on the UTS15 at a fill rate probally probally 5 times that of the KSG!

Some of us still have principles. Not handled well at all. Although in no way would it have pleased everyone, however they should have offered something to customers who have waited ridiculously long as it is only to find out they now have to source one elsewhere in the US and wait all over again. It's easy to say it's no big deal unless you also got on the list in the first 24 hours some SEVENTEEN months ago!

There is really nothing more I can add, except if I was one of you who was patiently waiting I would also be feeling very pissed off, I understand your feelings, I am sorry that this had to happen.

Now this is one owner who understands customer service. Respect to you John.

Definitely looking more forward to my UTS15 from ya now...

This is the company that has brought the Canadian market, The CZ 858, Shmidt & Bender, Armalite, Daniel Defence, SAM 1911's, Rob Arms, AI Rifles, Barret, now UTS and many more. They have not kept all of these brands to themselves (Even thought they could have and made more money on some brands) they offer their brands to dealers all across Canada so that gun owners coast to coast can walk into their store and handle these brands. And lets not forget the work John has done for the CSSA.

Some of you have forgotten to this, you can give credit ware credit is due. They are not short on principals or intergity. We see it from the other side of the coin. The KSG is much like a well that could only produce only a little bit of water at a time. People have gotten in line knowing full well that the water will only pump so fast. But when the well suddenly goes dry do you then turn against the people pumping the water?
