There was a tread here a couple weeks ago discussing Gunner/Armco for some unknown reason this tread is closed to comments. I bought a gun from him and took it to the range for the first time today. I shot 18 or at the most 24 rounds and had two fail to loads, round streight up and down. Fairly ugly performance for a $1700 1911 by Dlask. I get the thing home and start to clean it. I never seen a gun this dirty, filthy. I guess I'm not a happy customer of Mr. Gunner and Armco. He is a gun smith, one would think he would look over a gun before he sells it, try to fire it. Guess that isn't part of the service. I am hopeful that after a good cleaning this 1911 will work well.

I dealt with Gunnar at ARMCO several years ago, and have absolutely no complaints.

Today however, with all the bad comments, I would rather be careful dealing with him, if at all.

Or should I say, you should have known better.

So basically he sold you a used pistol that hadn't been cleaned. Maybe you have cleaned it first and then shooting it before ranting here a CGN. No matter where you purchase a used gun its always buyer beware and do your research first.

X2... unless it is specified other wise. Possible that it is a ammo issue, the way you are holding the pistol that is causing the FTF or a combination of both and of course a dry dirty pistol to boot will exasperate the issues at hand some what.

Has anyone heard ANYTHING from Gunnar in the past month? Last communication I got from him was an email over 3 weeks ago that was short in length and long on unfulfilled (to date) promises.

Gunnar probably ran a thousand rounds or so thru it before shipping it to you. Im more then positive he did the same thing with me and a revolver I bought off of him once.

This one doesn't have much teeth.....you bought a used gun, didn't even bother to inspect it and tear it down, didn't clean it or lube it, and are pissed because it was dirty and didn't function 100%.
Gunnar deserves some ripping for sure, but this isn't really his problem.....more of a you problem.

These threads are just about as entertaining as the guys who post rants about their guns being fired before they get them!

I live in Prince George and see Gunnar on a regular basis, I have no complaints. Good guy to deal with, bought alot of guns off him with zero complaints. And I agree that the issue you have brought up might be the shooter and not the gun and definitely not the seller. Clean the gun, buy a few brands of ammo and see what works best in the gun.
