This just arrived from O.S.T. and I thought I'd post a few pictures and immediate first impressions about it.
My initial overall impression is that it's pretty rough around the edges for an $86 piece of Kydex, but it seems solid and sturdy (the Kydex is quite thick) and if I objected to ugly I'd stop buying Norcs.
The belt clip is made from an even thicker stock of Kydex and is riveted to the back of the holster. It fits a little loosely on my 1 1/2" belt but was quick and easy to clip on and off while still feeling well secured. This seems like the most likely point of future failure however, and I'm disappointed that it's not an easily replaceable part.
Instead of a firm snap into place, the holster required steady pressure to seat the pistol fully. Retention is good, but the holster is tight enough around the slide to push it slightly out of battery during holstering if you don't brace it with your thumb. Hopefully that will smooth out a little with wear and I won't have to tweak it with a heat gun. Thumb pressure is a good habit, but I'd rather it not be a necessary one.
Here it is next to my Bladetech Eclipse. The fit and finish is night and day between the two but the Eclipse is a much more gracile design. The Red Clover Concepts feels almost indestructible in comparison (crossing my fingers about that belt clip).
