Ancaster show

Was a great show, with the same old faces and same old crap for sale. Didn't spend a penny.
I just wish all shows would be like the Ancaster show. :)

I bought a bunch of reloading stuff and some ammo. Got a brick of Blazers for $22 which is industry standard pricing. Also got some V-Max .17HMR for $14/50 which is also in the range.

I wish people would shower before going to the gun shows. Every couple of minutes I would get a whif of what smells like the armpit of a dieing Roman soldier...

you forgot old man farts .....man ..didnt spend a penny sold a few things packed up early tho kinda tired ..lots of great feedback and questions about my vickers ..

I usually go to the Orangeville show, as soon as I can start riding the bike I'll make it out to the Ancaster show sometime soon I hope.

Where can we find information on these shows ? I was just down the road and had no idea it was on..

A friend of mine was there at a reptile show and saw the signs walked in a snagged an Enfield for a decent price - If I would have known I would of been there in a heartbeat.

Any other shows around here in the coming weeks ?

I finally found Turkish Mauser :)

I have been looking for cheap, decent shape fixer upper for a while now and there it was-all for 110$.

Total mismatch on numbers but unabused ( except for really dusty storage) and complete (except for cleaning rod).

Pictures will be posted when/if I find my camera.

I had a short list of things you just can't find locally, .223 trimmer, plastic storage case for .223 and SKS stripper clips. Bonus, my wife bought them all for me for my upcoming birthday. Of course I did get her a new magazine for her Savage for her birthday last month. It was a good show, nice to see it held in a place with adequate parking for a change.

That's a strategy for pushing through the crowds at flea markets and such: don't shower, eat beans, watch them scatter. Plus not looking (or smelling) rich starts you in a better position when negotiating.

(Not that I think most of the gun show crowd so described are actually doing it on purpose…)
