**OFFICAL*** The Type 97NSR is Non restricted!!!

We NEED these hand guard rails... Just saying.

Looking at the breakdown picture, looking at the carrying handle piece. 1. Is it metal, or plastic? 2. Is it structural, or "cosmetic". The reason I ask is, if it is plastic, and not structural (doesn't actually need to be there) it might be very simple to simply replace that carrying handle unit with an aftermarket "flat top" version with a low long pic. rail. The fact the charging handle is vertical might be a bit of a problem, but perhaps a 90-degree cross bar on the changing handle?

Chin-wield with regular red dots (not EOtech) is very possible, and you can definitely get a cheek wield with a micro aimpoint. Also I can change the mags on my Type 97 faster than any of the videos I have seen on youtube. And it's actually harder to change the mags on the Real Sword airsoft since the mags don't drop free. I'd make a video but I'd probably need a friend to record it. But basically all you do is to keep the gun pointed at the target with your right hand, body facing the target before grabbing a fresh mag. You use your left arm and move it as if you are crossing your arm with the elbow facing the target. You hold the fresh mag against the right side of the empty mag and move you fingers so you are grabbing both mags. Using your index finger, press the mag release and pull down. Then you simply drop the empty mag and insert the new mag or if you are retaining the mag, simply inserting the new mag, sliding your hand down the new mag while with your fingertips holding the old mag till your hand clears it. After that you can toss it in a drop pouch or in an empty mag pouch. The whole time your right hand gripping the pistol grip does not move at all.

I know it sounds complicated, but once I got enough practice in, I am now able to reload at 1.2x the speed of my AR-15. If I ever get the time to video record it, I'll definitely post it up.

Cheers!

Hey guys I found a pic from my airsoft manual that shows exactly what to do in a picture. I hope it'll help.

Edit: Found a pic of the chin-wield

Personally i'm just excited about having something that will dump .223 from AR mags without being over two grand or restricted. Hopefully it'll plesently suprise me with it's accuracy because my expectations aren't great at the moment but I'm willing to bet this will become a fast favorite for cottage plinking the country over just like the NR Vz-58 varients have.

Still wish we could just get ####ing AR's though. No sense pretending we'd be creaming our pants over these endeeringly derpy bastards quite as much if we could all go out and get a nice '15 for the same money and take it wherever.

Plus there's no way the trigger on these could be worse then the Tavor, amirite?

First of all, I gotta say I love the tactical surgical mask :D Expected accuracy is 2-3MOA.. Not an SKS but not a precision instrument either. I'd wanna take it up to Ganderite just so he can mount one of his Hubble-grade scopes on it and run some proper tests since I'm betting he's more accurate offhand than I'm off the bench and I'm pretty sure there are benches in northern Ontario

The triggers on this is a smooth longer pull v.s. a shorter clunkier pull on rifles like the F2000 or Steyr Aug, which I find satisfactory. And yea I'd love a Non-R Norinco CQ as well :< Too bad the closest to a non-r AR is the XCR which costs $3000...

I was going to refrain from saying anything but I couldn't help myself. I got to hold one of these T97's today. I wont say where or who. You can say Im lying, but Im not. It felt really good. Very light. The finish surprised me a little. Pretty smooth. I hated the safety location and hated the magazine release even more, but I still loved the gun. The stock is a little smaller then Im used to and will take a little adjusting but everyone will have a different opinion on that. The carry handle is fine with me. Slap a red dot up there and it should work well enough. Will be buying one for sure!

Is the mag release identical to an AR? As in exactly the same? Does an ambi mag release look like it could solve that problem?

I'd love that job and hate it all at the same time.

"Here, shoot this. Now, give it back and wait like everyone else."

Doh!

I am very fortunate to have the opportunities that I get, 27 years of getting to play and I have yet to get bored...
