Canadian Manufactured AR's Wartac

And what's wrong with taking advantage of a potential cash cow if your products are of decent quality??!!

If I could sink my capital into a new venture it sure as heck would be in a business that I know as an endless pool of customers...but hey, who likes making a decent product and money on top of it!

We have no idea if this product is of decent quality. If it is then great. If not well..

played with one at the kamloops show, seemed fine and looked good. nothing special but it was a good price and better looking than an NEA thats for sure. I did like the flared magwell

When I first saw it, I thought the coating was REALLY weird.... like I've seen it before and it doesn't belong on an AR. Then I realized what it is. The coating looks like a bluing. Like a blowtorch was put on the aluminum. Now if they actually did that I wouldn't know but the coating is dark with a metal blue tinge.

If they can only resist posting on this forum, I am pretty sure they will do very well with their new AR in Canada.

I would like to see if they actually did post on this forum so I could find out more about these guys. But from what the gun shop guys told me is you can get it done in all the standard colours and even dipped. They are doing one for me dipped and only charging $100 extra which is saving me $400-$500 if i buy a black one and send it myself.

Ya from what I understand plus they can try to get custom colours too, I had seen an invoice for one that a guy was getting in OD and it was $1150.

No clue about the guys name, what I was told is the two guys are ex operators who wanted to build a rifle that suited their needs.

Well that sounds legit ;)
Someone is going to ask you sooner or later but you aren't affiliated with this new company in any way are you? Seems kind of odd that you make a post asking if anyone has heard of them and then mention a couple of times that they are planning a big reveal...then 2 days later you say you wish they would post something so you could learn more about them but you have already ordered an AR from them and they are dipping it saving you hundreds of dollars! Plus you've somehow seen some other guy's invoice...after the stupid shilling that NEA did I can't imagine another Canadian manufacturer going down that road...just sayin'

I snagged a photo from an email that I got from the local shop here. I love the look of it and especially the flared mag wells. Also want to correct their name, it is War Tak not Wartac.

Good looks anyway

Not affiliated in any way lol I am just patriotic and if the background story is true on these guys then they deserve it. It was by accident I had seen the invoice, it was because I had asked what colours and the guy pulled out the invoice in front of me to check the colour one guy already put down for and the price and I had seen it. I ordered mine already because I am in the market for an AR and to have it dipped in Multicam. I was emailing back and fourth with the shop all day and they gave me a quote I could not turn down so I jumped on it.

Like anything you would like to know more about people and seeing as CGN has a wealth of individuals who either know a lot or have a lot who act like they do, I figured it would be worth a shot and provided info that I got out of the gun shop guy.

Trust me, you really don't want them here, CGN has a very good track record of tar and feather any company trying break into the market.
