hey ive got a winchester 70 in 300 win mag, i hardly ever use it any my buddy wants to buy it off me, only problem is i have no idea what its worth, here are some pictures, tryed to show any marks on the rifle, no more than 100 rounds through it, just looking for a fair evaluation of what its worth with the scope, thank you in advance

That's a beautiful gun. I know very little about winchester rifles, but I'm sure someone on here knows! Are you planning on giving your friend a good deal? Or to just sell at market value? Also what is the serial number (for dating purposes)

Just take the amount that YOU paid for it and add 40% for the time it took you to break it in and all the carefully added 'character' marks on the stock and metal and that would be an EE price! All sarcasm aside, whatever realistic price that you come up with I would figure in the 'buddy discount' too. How good of a buddy is this? A guy that gives you his last beer=$20 off, A guy that jumps in to save your ass when you mouth off to the meathead at the end of the bar=$50, A guy that forgets where the body is hidden=PRICELESS!!

$800.00 all inclusive. It is used and it is a push feed. scope is the most valuable part.
Dont let the "no brake" guys throw you off, it is a selling feature on a hard kicker like the 300WM. Its not like the gun was quiet as a church mouse before.

Couldn't agree more.

Friend, relative, in-law or outlaw has nothing to do with it.
If someone wants to sell a rifle then put a price on it.
If someone buying a rifle does not like the deal he can counter or leave.
Does he expect your friendship is so tight you might give it to him?

All is fair in war and love is Bu11 $hiP

thanks, and yea he will be getting a buddy discount lol, just kinda looking for a starting point, i traded for the rifle years ago so had no real idea, if its worth the 700-850 im kinda getting here then i did pretty good with my trade :) (mechanics work) he has shot the gun before and knows what hes getting into, tryed shooting it with out the break once while it wasnt bad the break makes it kick like a 243 and sound like a cannon :)

yea hes a 100 pound pitbull rotty cross and there is also a 110 pound pitbull bullmastif cross, not very agressive but pretty heavy to push outta the way and big enough to take over the couch

That scope is not worth $500, its a Vari-x III not a VX. The lenses and coatings are the equivalent of a VX-II, max value is $300

The pushfeed rifle in that condition is $400

... If someone sold me a 300 win mag ... They wouldn't be my friend anymore...

I probably would only pay like 650 all in as I've been burned on used scopes many times I value them at about 50 bucks especially with the ding on it
