Yep - there's the response and maturity level of someone we all pretty much have nailed for what he is... a petulant child. Perhaps when he finally gets his, at least we'll be spared having to wade through his self-pitying drivel (why the heck didn't he cancel? Oh, right - it's too good a deal to walk away from. Which leads to the conclusion that his is just a typical instant-gratification, me, me, me guy. Glad as hell you're on the other side of the country!

Maybe if you weren't such a fine upstanding, polite and patient consumer, you might actually get some good service. When I have run across your kind, your issues go to the bottom of the pile. You might learn from the phrase "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar".
And I just happen to have a first-hand example from this evening. I was trying to deal with an online vendor regarding a triple billing problem. Got shuffled to three different people, had to call back once because of a crossed phone line, then was put on hold for 10 minutes, then another 5 minutes. Agent comes on the phone, and I'm still pleasant as can be, mainly because I accomplish a lot when I'm on hold. She says after hearing my demeanor - she's adding a $25 credit to my account for my patience. Yep, I'll sit on hold for a long time for $60 an hour

.
Now, of course, YFTD (whatever in the world that's supposed to mean... :/) will miss the point of this entirely. Why? Because at the end of the day, "I didn't get everything I want when I want!". Pout, rant, etc. and on and on and on.
Kind of reminds me of this:
