Ok so the story goes, I purchased the Rifle a couple years ago, with a Bushell Elite 4200 6-24x50 and it shot great with 180gr Winchester Ballistic Silver Tips. Now a couple years later with maybe 200 rounds down the pipe and it will not group. It fires one shot right smack dab in the centre of the target, then it fires all the other shoots all over the place. I tried different ammo and the same thing happens. Now my bases and rings are tight, along with the actions bolts. Now i have heard things about shooting coated bullets and just copper jackets and that they dont mix. So my question is, has this samething happened to anyone else, and if so what did they do to fix it? Any help would be great! And pardon my spelling and sentence structure, Im typing this from my phone.

Sounds like the scope to me too. I'd lose the excessive magnification scope myself(24X is too much for a hunting rifle), but you need to put a bore sighter on the rifle. Had a Tasco long ago that quit working. Through the bore sighter I could watch the reticle bounce back and forth when the action was opened and closed.
"...coated bullets and just copper jackets..." If that had anything to do with it, a good cleaning would fix it.

Sometimes bigger scopes get wrecked on harder recoiling rifles due to their greater momentum so I would try another scope and see if that's the issue.

I've never handled a Sendero, having a sythetic stock with bedding blocks, I'd think your barrel is freefloating. Synthetic stocks shouldn't warp like wood can, have you checked to make sure your stock is not touching the barrel anywhere along the barrel channel. As others have mentioned base, rings and scope.

I have one in 7mm stw that shoots tiny tiny groups ...... so much so that I don't play with it as much as I would like too for fear of shooting the barrel out .

the only thing I can think of is loosen off the stock from the action and make sure there isn't any sort of debris between the action and the stock ,I finger tight the stock first , the bump the bottom of the stock on the floor a couple times to seat the action then tighten down the front screw first , then the rear one . there is more than likely a torque spec for the screws , I go by how tight I can get it with 2 fingers and try to keep the same effort for each screw .

a couple other things that come to mind , how clean is the barrel and how does the rifle shoot with the bullets seated a couple thou into the lands ?

when I first got my rifle it wouldn't shoot barnes x bullets very well and it would copper foul the barrel really bad . I fire lapped the barrel and things really improved and the barrel no longer fouled .

Thank you, i was not able to find a torque spec the last time i had the rifle apart. Im going to clean it up real good tonight, and tomorrow I am going to shoot it after work tomorrow. I will post my results tomorrow. Thanks everyone for your help!

I have had 2 bushnell scopes fail, one was a 6500 and one was a 4200, I would try a different scope. Also clean your barrel with a good solvent and remove all fouling and coatings so you can start fresh

It may be that your using a powder that is temperature sensitive and is causing muzzle velocity deviation that will open up your groups. I would also check the crown out.

when you are reassembling the rifle fit the stock screws lightely then put the butt on the floor with the barrel pointing at the ceiling and pull down hard on the barrel towards the butt while tightening your stock screws. this will ensure that the action is seated firmly against the recoil lugs, see if that helps.
