Ammo Left on Porch

I prefer going through UPS and having them do a drop off and hold at a local UPS store. $5 and alot more convenient than trying to play tag with the delivery guy.. or worse, a firearm and/or ammo drop-off in an apartment complex!

You should see the UPS guy in my area. Its throw box run away...

I hear a thud on the door its a package... Hitting the door...

I have had several shipments of ammo come via Canpar, and if I am not home they just leave a note.

They will either try again the next day or you go to their local warehouse to pick it up. Our Canpar depot doesn't have an office or any admin staff, so you have to go early in the day or late in the afternoon when the drivers are there. Overall it works out fine, you just have to work around their schedule a bit.

Just a note was left for me today...mildly annoyed with CanAm on this one (but only for about 5 minutes)...I didn't get a shipping notice (I even checked the website and it doesn't show shipped) so I didn't have anyone waiting for it (when I could have).

It seems to depend a lot on your local delivery person. My guy is amazing and leaves a note in my box/door saying that my stuff is at the local post office for pickup. No extra charge. Knows me by name so he even gets me stuff when people accidently put the wrong address on!

When I ordered and had canpar deliver for the first time I had to print off and sign a release for them to forgo the signature and leave it on my porch.

Yeah, I had a couple crates of 7.62x39 left on mine. And they once let my dad sign for a Ruger revolver. This time though, for the CanadaAmmo 1911 deal, it was signature required and they did not just drop it off. I got the form to sign and stick on my door for the second attempt, but the delivery driver had written over the special instructions section "Signature in person required" so I assume they still wouldn't have left it if I used that. I called and had them hold it at the depot for me.

As someone pointed out it's a public forum gents. Do you guys not see the problem with sharing your idiot Canpar driver stories??????

Keep it off the public forum and call the local Canpar office and insist the moron gets canned. Unless you like to see more bad press for us...

The guy said, "Yeah, you have to sign for this...ammo I guess?" I thought it was weird to have a Q&A from the delivery guy. Canam, seriously, this isn't a great vendor.

Agreed

Ya I had my 1911 and 1000rds of ammo left on my front step at 9:00 in the morning and I didn't get home till 5:00. The funny thing is that the tracking of this package showed that it had been signed for and it even showed the persons signature. The only problem with this is that I know there was no one home to sign for this package. The only thing I can think of is that the drive signed for it and dropped the package on the front step. Oh and I live on a corner lot so everyone can see what it on my front step.

Someone screwed to pooch .. And this was not just Canpar if no signature was required ..

Before everyone posts their story .. Ask who is going to read it and what difference it will make if CBC decides that it rates a national story .. If you get this poor level of service e-mail Canada Ammo and call Canpar

My personal experience has been different ..

If you want to see what complete coverage is .. Get a shipping quote from Cabellas on powder, or pay the hazmat fee that higginson powders adds on ..

Posting here does nothing to fix any problem .. Just brings one idiot drivers actions or one missed tick mark into over blown status ..

Just a rant .. But I depend upon on-line sales Laugh2
