Hi Guys,

So I am looking to put on a Red Dot Sight on to my Norc M4. Now here is the catch, I don't require anything special and I would like to spend the minimum possible on the red dot.

I was hoping you guys could point me in a direction that I should be looking or at the very least tell me the directions that I shouldnt go.

Thank,
Greg

Sparc is a solid choice!

I also tried the StrikeFire, but for a little bit more the Sparc is a much lighter, brighter optic

Sparc is about as cheap as it gets...price wise.
There are cheaper ones....they work pretty good. But sometimes the quality of the dot is not as good. Sharpness and brightness.

What??????

Eotech or Aimpoint guys!!!! Come on!

I prefer Eotech xps or 512 is fine with the g33 magnifier as well!

It's expensive but guess what it's frigging awesome because it's quality!

Yes. Good point Mike.

Except for this part of the OP:

Now here is the catch, I don't require anything special and I would like to spend the minimum possible on the red dot.

Go ahead and pay 4x the amount for an Aimpoint.
If you are not in law enforcement or the military the cost is pointless in my opinion..

I've been running a $229 SPARC on mine since Jan. Couple thousand rounds through it, mostly scoot and shoot. Very happy with it. Sure my buddy's Eotech is nicer, but two to three times the cash depending on model.

Conversely it's a LOT better than the $45 P.O.S., though those WILL work too... Just not usually all that durable.

IF you can find it, the Bushnell Holosite is the t!ts for cheap red dot with a good name (demilitarized Eotech). Barring that, the Aimpoint PRO. You can't get a better package deal (CompM3 with QRP mount). The Aimpoint H1 is also a good one to look at.

my current inventory consist of a Aimpoint M4, Eotech XP2-2, Strikefires, Meopro M21 and a Lucid HD7, The Lucid HD-7 is my favorite.

My vote is for the Sparc. For the money the quality is excellent. It's no Aimpoint, but still a very decent optic

And seeing as how were posting pics here's my Tavor with the Sparc

ask for recomendations and get gun #### instead......... I should post more threads like this........

Long and short, its going on my Norc and I am still fairly new to AR's so maybe in the future I will look into a EOTech, but for now something simple, cheap with half decent quality will do the trick for me. SPARC is looking good.

I put my trs25 on my cz and I combined it with a g33 eotech, it works really well, gives me a red dot and a slap to side 3x magnifier.
TRs is mounted on a UTG high mount, UTG sucks btw, but for my cz at 100 yards it's perfect. 7.62x39 past 100 yards is too complicated to estimate anyways.
Gives me a pretty good setup!
