Just saw this online today. Think it might show up in Canada?

Its like a striped down Rascal by Savage ( there at Canadian Tire!!!) but the best survival .22 is the 22/410 savage arms model 42

This.

Not sure they really need to advertise this with a teenage girl. Is that really their target audience?

Oh well.

I hope it is inexpensive. I also hope they offer it in 22 WMR. If you are going to pack a rimfire as a survival gun, you might as well pack a rimfire with some serious power. The concept of wandering a wasteland and scrounging ammo notwithstanding.

Looks like there are a couple of distributors in Canada - European Arms in Vancouver (website doesn't give any prices or anything, just links to manufacturers sites) and North Sylva (the worst, non-functioning website I've ever seen! Absolutely nothing at all works on their site).

Apparently they run around $160 in the U.s., so with import duties, tariffs, levies, fees, difference in the dollar, etc., they'll probably be what, maybe $499 in Canada?

Hard to compete with the single shot youth offerings of Savage etc. If Savage made their youth rifles with a folding stock, well, wouldn't that make a great camp/survival rifle?
