tavor trigger job by nutnfancy

MAC video said if you only plink with the Tavor at the range, the extra spring will not make a difference.

Like CanAmmo said, it's a reliability spring. Who here is worried about a 6 meter drop?

If you are planning on seeing combat with your Tavor, you might want to put that spring back in and go for a trigger/sear job like in the Nutnfancy video.

2 great options to improve the trigger on a great non-restricted rifle.

To all the nutnfancy haters, you guys are hilarious. You complain about the length of the video like your time is SO precious. We aren't at war here. The guy likes to talk, if you don't want to sit through an hour long video, go watch FPSRussia blow some stuff up.

I was told by an engineer at IWI that it was added because the gun was failing a rather grueling high drop (6m?) test at the IDF.

6m drop?:sok2 thanks for the info, i was hesitant to do this because i didnt want want to take away from the reliablility but if thats the case i probably will do mine

thanks for the info!

Nope (it's there for a reason). Too bad the video was completely dysfunctional, otherwise we might have had a more clear and concise idea of what the modification entailed.

Funny, I found the video perfectly clear on what was one.

He bent the hammer spring to releave it just a touch, and stoned the sear engagement surfaces. That's it.

You know I almost think it's "Cool" to hate on nutnfancy.

I have watched maybe 1 video, no better or worse than a dozen other guys who do the same thing. And it really doesn't get me all riled up. Only reason people like to be rebellious against him is because he is popular, and nothing says cool than not liking the popular guys. So mysterious we all are...

I would have to say that I don’t hate on him because he is popular, I gave him the benefit of the doubt because he is popular. Can’t stand him.

I have run about a hundred rounds through mine with the spring out. Seems to function fine. The mode lightened the pull by about 4 lbs but the trigger is still heavy probably around 10 lbs. Before the mode it was so heavy I was getting lactic buildup in my trigger finger just trying to shoot a 5 round group.

I did mine exactly like Sturmgewehre shows on MAC. This fixes the Tavor's weakness. Others find it doesn't affect drop test from 2m. I weighed the likelihood of a 6m drop vs the improved trigger and the decision was easy.

+1 you chose what you watch.

Expect anything less from those guys? I've watched a few and fell asleep every time. A bunch of spec ops wannabes giving their opinions on guns. Just like listening to the local tacticool wannabes at the counter give opinions.

Yes, they can shoot. But they aren't special enough to warrant 1 hr of anyones time. Imo, of course.

To be fair, Nutnfancy is not a wannabe, he is a retired United States Air Force Lt Col pilot. Also a libertarian and a strong supporter of gun rights and freedoms so maybe give some credit where it's due. Yeah, he talks a little bit much at times, but he has his head on right and he is on "our" side.

when did this thread become a nutnfancy thread haha i dont hate the guy and hes by far not my fav but he is on our side so i dont hate

I've watched so much TNP it's ridiculous. I like long youtube videos, I can "set and forget" and let it play out which I clean or reload.

It's hard to hate the guy if you're actually familiar with his body of work.

Nutn's Cali bro accent (duuuuuude) and longwindedness are annoying, although I do enjoy his action shots.

Anyway it'll be interesting to see what kind of improvement the aftermarket trigger companies can get out of the Tavor.

I wouldn't think equalling a good AR trigger is out of the question given how much of an improvement has been made with aftermarket triggers in the AUG.

anyone actually running their tavor with that little spring out?

I don't believe in taking springs or parts out of guns, why was it there in the first place, engineers don't put useless parts into machines, so that regular joes go about removing them to "improve" them.

I'm not going to be fiddling around a 2700$ gun... I'm keeping it as is.

Ever driven a new diesel truck? The engine bay is full of useless parts that engineers put in and average Joe's take out. The difference is mind boggling.
