The PGW Defence Technologies Inc. 2013 Western Canada F-Class Championship

Thanks Sean, great show, lots of "aw ####'z" and giggles. Long trip back but no issues..............or tickets.
Cheers, Glen

+1! Great show, glad to see a lot of folk coming out for these events! Well organized by the MPRA. Nice to be home (now) to a mirage that doesn't make the target face bulge in and out so much!

Hat’s off to the organizers of this event. It was very well done from start to finish.
Thanks to everyone who had a hand in making this shoot go so smoothly and a huge thanks to all the sponsors as well.

Well after hiding in the shade for a couple of days I can report that the wheels fell of my wagon on Sunday, finished mid pack and was the cause of losing third in team match to someone else, sorry guys
cant really explain what happened but will take all the blame, John.

As a member of the committee thanks to all for showing up!!!!!!!!! You always get a little antsy when it gets close to cut off date and numbers are close but final attendance numbers were excellent. John T, your the master of collecting door prizes, $14,500 on the table. Most exciting to see was the two new shooters we talked into shooting walk away with something to keep them coming back. One got a PGW action and one got a Rempel bipod. Unfortunately I lost my Master classification at door prizes this year but it sure was good to see the smiles of the shooters as they walked away from the table. We will have a wind up meeting to see where we could improve. There is always a few things but it seemed to go quite well. Had a great bunch staying at my place which is just as important as the match and a good turn out at the open Bar B Q on Friday night, thanks for attending! Unfortunately we showed everyone what bugs can be like in Manitoba there though. Sure glad we beat the heat, I was cooked with what we had, and it's up to 29 today with some good old Manitoba humidity today. I have a new appreciation for what Keith did last year. We had an excellent committee with everybody participating. I was kinda sittin on the edge wondering about the targets John C and I built because that was the first full use. For those that attended, the young people did a fantastic job on pulling targets for what they have to work with. I have now been pulling at 5 different locations and I can say first hand that the St. Charles setup is difficult to deal with. There was some excellent "shootin" for the conditions, congratulations to all of you!!!!! Now that was mirage Manitoba style.

A big thanks to PGW for their support!!!!! A rifle, two actions and steaks for all, I have been to many matches in shooting disciplines and never have I seen the prizes like what was on that table. Great to have Steve and Ross in attendance!!!!!!

Looking forward to the match next year already.

Jim

I guess I forgot to congratulate my good friends Dave Harry and Eric Bisson on their respective wins in F-TR and F-Open. Anyone who thinks X's or V's don't count for much.....think again.....F-Open was decided on X's (Shot on NRA targets) this year.

Are you sure? They kinda look the same! That mirage was a killer at items - no lines to be seen.

Yep, I was pretty sure we didn't use moving targets in F-class but I was proven wrong in Manitoba.

I had a few shots land in the white cause that black blob in my scope jumped out of the way!

Nice segue Richard!

Photos of the awards presentation and winners are up now here: 2013 Awards

There is one award I would like to draw specific attention to. The organizing committee, had two desires to fulfill. One, to create a standing trophy to track the winners of the team shooting competition. Two, to recognize Les Dolhun (prairieguy) for his vision and efforts in founding this pioneering event. To satisfy both desires the organizing committee created the Les Dolhun trophy for Team Shoot Champions. It will travel with the event with the champion names added as it goes.

Here Les presents it to this year's Team Shoot Champs the "Dutch Rudders"

Thank you Richard for your kind words. You just can't get a better group of guys to compete against, and as tough of opponents as you can find anywhere. You also did a fantastic job of coaching the "Dutch Rudder's" to another team win. Communication is never an issue with this group, and i couldn't be more proud of my team as well as the guys i shot with in the finals. The guys that will bring the fight right to the bitter end, every time!! That's what makes this match so special.
Cheers
Eric

Many thanks to Sean, John and the rest. I have never been to a better, more organized shoot. Superb effort!!! I also echo Erik's comments that you couldn't get a better group of people to have fun with and shoot together. That was one great group of very skilled people, who possibly are, the best in the world in this sport. Steve
