*If an out of spec catridge gets fed into your chamber, your gun is going down for a long time.*

I was at the range today firing some Norinco 5.56 ammo when all of a sudden, I heard a *click* after a string of firing.
I thought to myself, no biggie. So I pulled the charging handle back, saw a round that wouldn't eject, eject the magazine, let the bolt go back on it with full force, continue to pull the trigger. It still didn't go bang. Charged it a few more times but it still would not fire nor eject the round.

Finally used a rod to push the catridge out. Turns out that the shoulder of the case is way too low for the bolt to even engage the rim.

I thought to myself, if I'm in the field and this happens, my gun is going down for a long time if I don't have a rod with me.

Anyone encountered this before?

Had a lot of problematic cases, 1 in 20 would jam in the press when reloading, one had the rim break off. Ill never buy norinco. Unless I'm in a jam and it is all there is

Huh? Second case now. VZ58 and Norc CQA 14.5. No issues to date. Thought it was great stuff.

I've been running Nork 556 ammo for a bit now, close to 4000 rnds. Never seen that..... I have white box, red box and yellow box. Haven't had the brown paper wrapped stuff yet, but I have 3 in opened cases..... So time will tell.....

I have noticed that when temps get over +20 I get quite a few pieces of brass without primers..... About 50% of the time it takes the rifle out. Either ties up the trigger or jams between the gas key and BCG......

Never a hiccup in the winter or fall....

The brass reloads quite well, I have some brass that is loaded 4 times now.....

I have seen that before. I think the case hasn't been trimmed to the correct length (too long) and the mouth of the case connected with the seating die before the rest of the case, pushing the shoulder down without it actually contacting the die. You will probably find that the shoulder is also bulged outward, which is why it won't chamber. I doubt it is going to be an ongoing problem (just a one off). if you are worried about it, you could run thru the entire case visually very quickly to see if there are more, now that you know what to look for

It shoots big fire balls :D probably so if they ever invaded they could see every muzzle flash lol. I like the pmc stuff better but I can't say I can complain norinco 55 grain doesn't work just as good in many ways. I'm saving the rest of my norinco yellow box for my t97 cj93 is what stamps I have

Wish everybody would post what gun they are shooting. From the sounds of it, it's a model issue. Yes the ammo is to blame but some guns are picky and others aren't.
I have the Su-16 and my friends has a norinco uppers and both shoot the ammo just fine. It's damn loud though!!!
