I think if it's only a 2-3 moa gun, I might just pass honestly :/ I got a m14 for that. Wen I can get smaller then 1.5-2 moe all day with 50 cent per round norinco in my RFB...

But being a rotating bolt it does have the potential to be very accurate I hope? What are your opinions guy's? .75-1.5 moe?

I have read a couple of mentions in forums that the SIG 543 is a MOA Rifle. Does FAMAE produce the same Quality? I would say under 2" for sure.

tolerances in the Swiss are ever so slightly tighter, there are times when that is a bad thing.

if they were the same price I'd take the Swiss. in my onion the Chilean offers much better value as its half the price and 95%> as good as the Swiss.

Swiss IF it comes in and IF I can afford it...

SG 542 in the mean time...can always sell it later to fund the Swiss :p

Swiss, if both were available. There's more accessories and other bits and pieces for it... quad rails, stocks, etc. Comes in flattop as well.

If I already owned a big house, a brand new truck, and a big piece of vacation property, I would definitely buy the SAPR.

For me to blow that kind of cash on a toy right now...really not worth it to me for any perceived improvement over the 542. Peace of mind? I'm not depending on the gun for anything. I would have more peace of mind knowing I'm further along towards the down payment on the vacation property, personally.

Of course I don't even own a single piece of multicam so I know that I will die in the first wave of casualties when the Napoleonic French invade (I believe that's the last time the Swiss actually fought in a war).

I'm one of those, "I can afford a kac but I bought an NEA instead" kinda guys. So given that kind of tendency, I'd be leaning towards the famas. In fact I'm going to put my deposit down now for one.

Don't confuse clearances with tolerances.

Having used a SAPR I would have to say it's build quality is top notch, I felt right at home with the gun and it is by far one of the smoothest .308 semis I've fired with low recoil. I have yet to try a 542...

Having also fired the SAPR and watching others who have, they & I would disagree about its low recoil impulse, it has more recoil than a AR10 based platform and in rapid fire beats you without mercy...
