Good AR15 Sling?

what are you running for a sling on your ar? i have been told to get a vickers padded sling but i can not find details on what mounting options it has?

i am a big fan of QD mounts! what do you use and why would you recommend it? i am about to complete my new DD m4 and want only the best on it

Vickers or VTAC IMO, QD are easy to use, look up the Vickers PDF on the installation and just thread the QD on each end. The benefit is that you can "change out" the sling from AR to AR, so a 556 to a 308 rifles.Also very easy to remove the sling for transport or storage/cleaning etc.

I've got both the VCAS and VTAC/5.11. Lets just say the VCAS will be replacing the VTAC/5.11. Not only, IMO, is the VCAS if better/simpler design, but much more comfortable. The VTAC leaves me with a carpet burn feeling on my neck and shoulders if I'm using it for a few hours.

Blue Force Gear Vickers (VCAS) is the only way to go

Add a push button onto each end and it fits to the DD rifles perfectly. Or if you have an MOE stock, then just one push button up front will do you.

I've got a VCAS, but didn't put any buttons on it. Fits through the MOE stock perfectly, and I'm looking around for something such as a Noveske Skinny Rail, since it looks like the front could attach to the rail no problem without a button or swivel.

They are good. I have one and I like it. Not a bad choice at all.

I start replying to a thread, going on about the VCAS sling and realize just before posting that the thread is about buffer tubes.

Vickers and / Or Magpul MS3, you cannot go wrong with either one! I have both!

While you're at it, buy some Frog Lube from Farmboy, I've gone through a FIRST 8 oz spray bottle from Oneshottactical in June, then I had to buy another 8oz from TSE in Calgary, AB.

Ok so i want a vickers sling! The one on sale but what do I need to get it to accept qd mounts? Also why is it such a good sling? I currently run idf improved slings and they are ok but I feel I'm missing something
