What are you using for transport of your pistols?

I'm using the Mastercraft tool case from CT. It comes with the pre-cut, customizable cubed foam inset in the bottom and eggshell foam in the top (and the dividers). I've turned the tool holder for the screwdrivers in the top around, so that it faces the eggshell foam. That's were I now keep my magazines. You should be able to fit 4guns in there easily.

They are great when you need a fix once in a while and easier to sneak into the house without Management knowing. I got hooked just five years ago and wish I would have done so much earlier. There are dozens of choices and at least 100 of us that will help you spend the money.

I'll use many things. Sometimes if it's just one I'll wrap it in a towel and lock it with a rifle in the long case. If it's a few I'll use my steel circular saw box that I riveted a gate hasp to, thereby affording me the use of a padlock.
 
thanks for the replies, many different options to start searching out, thanks. Mainly I want to protect them and be sure they are not sliding around and such in the case, and having one case to take to the range would be nice.

Yup, some people make things way to complicated...or like getting that "hit man" feeling when they open there fancy case :) I ain't got time for that!

Good for you? Some people like to protect thousands of dollars worth of investments too. My hangun got some nice marks on it from being in my bag from some other objects, while not super important to function, I like to keep my stuff looking nice, call me picky perhaps. Not eveyone is simply going for a look like you imply.

Hey, do what makes sense for you. We don't need elitism in the sports but reverse snobbery is just as unwelcome IMO. We surely have enough "rules" imposed on us without adding any. Aside from the pleasures of shooting guns, the fellowship in the sports is way up there in my book. Part of my range bag complement last week was an old shopping bag. It worked great in the mud and for a time, did just as well as my Pelican jewel cases. To each his own.

My point was actually that some people think they have to have these metal hard cases to meet the regs, but the regs are really very minimal. I don't care if someone chooses to bedazzle a golden treasure chest to transport their guns, as long as they know it is a choice and not the law.

Fair enough point. Although to be honest, a treasure chest would be a pretty humerous way to transport restriced, cannot imagine what a cop would say with that.

I believe there was a thread under Legalese (quite possibly more than one) dealing with what constitutes concealment of a firearm.
Among the rest, carrying them in musical instrument cases was brought up as a prime example of what our legal system doesn't exactly condone (because it looks as if you're pretending to carry something different than firearms). Just sayin'...

I have the seahorse quickdraw that holds 4. I like it. Water proof and overly cushioned. Could put 5 in it if i do not use the storage hole on the right
